Otherwise, your unsubstantiated opinion is highly suspect!

This annoying number calls my home landline about 3 x per day. Then I remembered my blocking feature and added this # to that list. I can block up to 25 so the list rotates around.  BLOCK THIS #, SCAMMERS.

Even if the number is legit, it can be SPOOFED by scammers and used as a PHISHING scheme. Beware 👿

calling many times even on sat morning with no voice no msg, after 10  seconds it hung up on you....VERY annoyed!!!!STOP calling

Got a call this morning, no message left

Called every day for 4 days and left a automated VM saying it is Citibank calling about our Costco Credit Card, thank you for being a Costco Customer blah, blah, blah.  We don't have a Costco or Citibank credit card!  Blocked!

Found this VM in my VM email text.  More complete than my former post.  I know if I logged in or called (if I had an account), they would either hack my computer, or get my password (which I don't have). Stinks of scam!

THIS IS A SCAM!!

Just received a new Costco card and currently no dues. Received three of these calls today, answered and caller claimed a payment was Falsely Due!  An amount for $900 that I wasn't aware of. This is not possible. Therefore it is a scam.

Wife answered the phone.  I wasn't home when they asked for me by name.  They rudely hung up.  I called the number on the back of the new CITI bank Costco Visa card.  They verified that the number is one of theirs and has something to do with their screwed up auto billing (I think).  Told them the caller was very rude and they said they would look into it.  Anyway, not a scam just rude people.

I read further. I would never give anyone a credit card# over the phone.I agree. Probably a scam. Îf it were legit, they'd already know my #.

I thought it was a scam... It isn't.  Now that the Costco card switched from Amex to CitiBank, a lot of people have been late on payments.  They want to remind you to pay your bill, and a one time waiver of a late fee will be applied.  I was getting many calls a day, and wasn't sure if it was legit so I told the gal I wouldn't give any info over the phone, but would immediately get online and make a payment.  She said she would note it in my account and thanked me, we hung up, I got online, verified everything she told me, paid my bill, no late fee, and all done.

Sorry you got rude people!  I was lucky I guess.  But I agree; not a scam.  Has to do with automated billing.

I've been getting these calls too.  Finally called CitiBank Customer Service with the number on the back of my card.  The guy claimed this 855-805-5486 WAS legitimate.  So I told him it was a big mistake calling people multiple times in this age of scammers.  It took him a while to get the point.  Said he would pass the compliant on.  It worries me that a big bank/credit card company is so stupid that they would have their computer make these calls at the pace of harassment.  One wonders if Costco has make a pack with the dark side!!  Also, no CitiBank ID on my phone ID box.... just 800 Service!
