if you own a small business chances are people aren't blogging about it on the internet, and if you're not having telemarketers call them all day long offering "prizes" that have strings attached, then no one will be posting scam messages on forums, either.

What are you even doing reading this if you have no interest in ChefWorld?  Is this what everyone laughinga nd talking in the background was doing when I answered the call I got from CW last week?  Going on the internet and pretending not to work for the company while defending it on all the forums?  I get it man, your job is your job and you gotta pay the rent, but get a life outside of work!

And we're not here spreading negative chatter either.

We are here because we're newlyweds who are tired of being spammed and telemarketed to death just because we had the misfortune of someone (*cough* David's Bridal) selling our contact information to companies like this.

This forum is for people to talk about their experiences and impressions with/of the calls we get so others like us don't have to fall prey to the different scams that are out there.  That's why the word scam is said here so much, and you can't convince unsuspecting brides and grooms-to-be to "give it a go" with your company simply by claiming that everyone on this site just wants to jump on the "call it a scam" bandwagon.

How much do they pay you to type these messages all day?

Goodness!  I'm going to find something better to do...like reporting Chef World to the Better Business Bureau ;)

Hey Skeptical2.. I'm reading positive remarks and you call them employees. You seem to be on a mission, what's your agenda. You made 3 comments on this firm. Have you done business with them or is every Company a scam. Maybe you should find a day job and take care of that cough..lol. I know, I know, I'm an employee too....

Let me just say this anyone who wants to blame someone for this. Lets blame the problem Davids Bridal. They put my name and phone number on a list and gave it out without asking me.  I thought it was insane. I called this chef world back as they left a number they had no problem answering the phone and sent me right to the person who left the message. I asked how they received my name and they told me the bridal shop had entered me. I immediately got off the phone and called davids bridal. I asked them to take me off their list and she said that it was done. So I ask the girl, "Why was my name and number given out?" Her reply, "Im not sure but they should have told you." See and this is why people never want to believe in businesses, because there are businesses that continue to show the everyday consumer that privacy is not important. That it is only about the bottom line.

Chef World Inc. are a bunch of liars. They when we went to the presentation we were under the impression we were getting a free $1000.00 grocery "gift" card, they gave us a piece of paper to mail in to get $1000.00 worth of grocery coupons. Get this you have to pay $4.95 shipping and handling to get the coupons. You can go on-line and get the coupons for free using certain websites. Next, that 3 day/2 night get away that we "won", yeah they don't tell you that you have to pay a $1000.00 deposit when you make your reservation. Yeah, they get over on you so that they can sucker you into puchasing their cookware for $1799.00. and their cookware is not all that spectacular. My fiance' and I left at the quikest chance we could get. So for all of you out there that get a phone call from Chef's World saying that you won something and you have to attend the presentation hang up the phone. Trust me

listen...If you went to the presentation and received the gifts and read the trip terms and condidtions... you send a $100 refundable deposit.I can tell you didn't really listen to the representive on the purchase price because it included China..Cystal...Tableware and a 23 pcs set of Health Cookware. You should have went to the website and looked under promotions and it would have explained the advertising gifts...You didn't win anything. You were also under no obligation to buy anything.....

I know I was not obligated to buy any of their stuff an I DID NOT. I read the terms and conditions and it says $1000.00. The rep did not say nothing about $100 deposit or any deposit thank very much. So unless you went to the presentation with me don't come at me with something you don't know about. It looks like they tell different things at different presentations. So mind your business!
