- julius33 replies to JulieI don't know if it's a scam, but waterless cookware is available for as low as $200 online. So if you believe in the product, I would recommend looking into it online. One-night "deadlines" are just a sales tactic. I have read on other forums that it is a huge hassle getting your vacations, with administrative fees/taxes summing to the cost of a regular vacation, but idk firsthand...
- jacob389 replies to JulieWe bought an order, and gave our credit card info to purchase the set, paying full amount. Got home, did some online research and realized the same pots could be bought for much less money. Also, the "free" trips have lots of hidden fees. Luckily, you can cancel within 3 business days as noted on our contract. We panicked and cancelled the credit card just in case, although that may not be advisable depending on your situation. We got called the next morning to confirm our order, and we told her we wanted to cancel. Not sure if we only got the call due to our credit card being cancelled. Mailed the cancellation notice that day through certified mail.

- Em35I am not an employee for this company. Just a bride to be whose getting married next August. I'm writing this because I was leery of this company also and almost didn't go. IM so glad I did. I went to the chicago and Milwaukee bridal expo a week ago where I signed up for a bunch of stuff. This past Sunday I get a phonecall from a lady telling me I won a prize. She explained the three prizes and told me I get to pick one of the 3....NO STRINGS attached. She did tell me some of their products would be showcased and I would have to sit through an hour and a half seminar. She promised me I was not obligated to buy anything and that no matter what I would still go home with a prize. I wasn't planning on going but the hotel it was at was in the came city that I live in so my fiancée and I went. When we walked in it was my fiancée and I and 3 other couples. YES you do sit through a seminar. We were there from 8:30-10ish. He cooks chicken and veggies. Goes through the products and that's it. NO ONE was forced or pressured to buy anything. The first couple quickly took their prize and left. Rob, the representative, didn't even ask if they were sure. Just gave them their prize and they were put the door. My fiancée and I did purchase the cheapest package. I can't speak for the product since we just bought it yesterday and it won't be coming in for another 2-3 weeks. But I just want to make it known that Rob never pushed us to buy anything. He didn't even try selling anything. He just told us about the product and that's it. Rest was up to us. Because we were the first couple to sign up we got the 800 dollar gift card to jvl jewelry for the wedding bands, the 2 night 3 day all inclusive resort, and the 2 night 3 day hotel stay. Yes it's not completely free. Yes we have to pay shipping and handling for the bands but come on nothing is completely free these days. We are going to get our bands for free other than 25 dollars for shipping and handling! So glad we decided to check it out!
- Kyle14My wife dragged me to this presentation in louisville kentucky in january of 2013 and im amazed at all the good things being said about the product and company on this board. I think its because people are posting this stuff soon after they go to the presentation and to the people reading these posts ill say just wait. They promised a free dinner and a short carnival cruise. We got a bite of chicken and a couple green beans a piece. They dont tell you that for the cruise you have to pay a bunch of fees and taxes that youll have to pay which end up being just as costly as booking the trip yourselves. The rings and the hotel 3 day trip are the same fees/taxes bullcrap and the rings are poor quality at best. The pots and pans and knives we ordered were the $1800 set. The pots pans knives set is not horrible. Its just ok. The knives set is actually quite good we have used them ever since. While the pots and pans set are not horrible it is BY FAR better to go get a set of potspans at walmart for $150. Better quality better food and have been used way more than the chefworld crap. Its not necessarily a scam but if you fall for it then congratulations youre as dumb as me. The absolute worst part about chefworld is the customer service. They never have replacement parts, treat you like crap, and worst of all you cant return anything after your 3rd day of purchase and it takes 3 weeks before you get anything to even check them out. If chefworld was proud of their product this 3 day return policy simply wouldnt be. Ill say it again the pots and pans are not horrible - just decent but trust me if youre reading this go to walmart and get pots and pans. Dont waste your time with the meeting either. I spent months of aggravating phone calls and weird vague paperwork process trying to get the cruise set up. Finally gave up. Million times easier to just book your own cruise. Dont believe all the phony positive feedback on this message board. Its either from chefworld employees or very very new customers-not customers like me with almost 2 years of chefworld experience.

- Kyle14I did not expect a free cruise or vacation like some of you chefworld employees are saying. I fully expected to have to pay taxes and some light fees for the trips offered. That is not the case with this chefworld promotion. I am the guy that read all the fine print AFTER buying the pots and pans and trying to get the cruise for a while. Taxes and fees should not exceed the regular ticket prices just by going through carnival cruise .com but they do in this promotion. And during the phone call they did say free vacation so that is a lie. If this promotion is so great then why cant i buy any of the barely above awful pots and pans online? Because the only way to sell it is through this crap promotion. The reason i dont completely trash the pots n pans is because they do actually cook food! Just expect to cook simple things 3 times longer than walmart pots'n pans at low heat to not ruin the bad quality and the horrible taste. But hey no trip? No cruise? No free rings? No dinner? Yes please take my 2 thousand dollars for 4 weeks of bad food and the worst customer service i have ever dealt with yay chefworld! I felt bad thinking back because my class was packed and every single couple bought something. Chefworld has great actors selling the product.

- Mike390 replies to Kyle14| 4 repliesAgree with above. You can find their real company rating on BBB under the company name century lifestyles with an F rating. 845-782-3710. Customer service seems displeased if you call them out on the numerous shady company names they work under. If you attempt to dispute charges they threaten to damage your credit. A complete bunch of criminals. As is evident by all the shills they employ to post here.
- Mike390 replies to Mike390| 3 repliesIf anyone thinks they're legit because they left with prizes, just wait until you try to claim one lol. A COMPLETE SCAM! Our presenter also falsely claimed the company had been in business over 100 years thereby making the lifetime guarantee valuable. Completely false. The manufacturing end of the business is lake industries. They started in Ny in the 1970 and left for Nevada in like 1992 or something. The amount of company names they cycle through is such a clear indication of fraud and unscrupulous business.
- Mike390 replies to Mike390| 2 repliesI'm curious as to how they even got licensing to issue loans as they do in their financing. I'd imagine that explains all the different business names
- Mike390 replies to Mike390| 1 replyFurther digging into public records has shown that this company along with well over a dozen others including VIP vacations ny (that's where all those scam "free" trip vouchers come from) are all owned by the same man, Vince Dima. They also owned that coupon scam as well.
