Listen gang..I had to come back to this blog and give you my feed back. Me and my fiancé were invited to a 90 minute presentation by the Chefworld company. We goggled their number and read some of the comments on this page. We almost didn't go but, being free spirited we decided to take a chance. What we found was a company advertising waterless cookware etc. This is the same type of cookware my family has used over the last 30 years. To all the investigative reporters...relax they are just trying to market a product that needs to be demonstrated. The advertising gifts are free and are not half bad.

I just recently went to a Cook World seminar. Like I've read from a few other people, it only takes up 90 minutes of your time. We ended up buying the pots and pans; considering at these seminars they show you how dirty your normal pots are (even after washing), I think I'll spend the extra money to know I'm being healthy. And yes, they offer the "gift card" which does end up being grocery coupons, but I don't get why everyone is complaining...$1,000 worth of grocery coupons, that's $1,000 I'm saving; same as having a gift card so I'm not whining. You get a cruise for 2, for free....may not be an entire week, but it's still a free Carnival Cruise; once again, not too sure why everyone is complaining. If you DO buy the pots and pans (and by the way, they don't lock you in the room, if you say you're not interested, they say have a nice day and you leave), you get an extra trip....FREE!!!! The pots & pans work great, and I don't understand why people have such a problem with it.

yes...I was told that I won the same prize through chef world. However when I went to the 90 min presentation the presenter was so mad that I did not want to purchase his cook ware. I mean regardless, most of the people who won this are people getting married. Who in their right minds have $3000 to spend on cook ware when we all have weddings to pay for. Targeting the wrong audience...I hate chef world!

    Random "Blogger"
That person that uses "..." in all their posts-  it's funny how the internet is "anonymous" but people can tell you apart because of the way you type.  My fiance got a call saying we "won a 3 day/2night trip."

My fiance didn't get all the details, but she told me she signed up from David's Bridal.  As soon as we got to the hotel and found out the name of the company was Chef's World, I knew something was wrong.

But if we won it, why are we paying for anything?  Why are we going to a hotel conference room?  Usually you get the vouchers in the mail, because I've have won something like that before.  I overheard the couple before us arguing with the employees about pricing and that they were under the impression they did not have to purchase anything.  You can already tell where that conversation was headed.  So we left.

    Experienced Buyer
I received a call from an individual with the same information as been stated here. She was not pushy at all, and I originally said I wasn't sure if I could make it because my fiance was out of town. She let me know that I could bring a family member if I was interested, and I said I would have to check with my family member. She left me with a call back number, and I called back when I had more details. I scheduled a meeting and went to the seminar. I was very skeptical at first, but my mom and I sat through the demonstration, which was laid back and care free. I received NO PRESSURE to buy anything, and was given my gift voucher and free watches on the spot. I made the decision to purchase some of the products, and was debating between two sets. The individual leading the demonstration suggested I buy the smaller of the two, that way I could give the product a try and really see if I liked it before purchasing more. I did just that, and have since used my product and purchased more from my personal vendor. The product is great. The customer service has been great. I also received a voucher for the free trip, which states clearly that a $100 refundable deposit is required to book the trip. I haven't taken my trip yet, so I can't speak as to whether or not it is a high-quality gift, but so far I have had no negative experiences with the company or the product.

My fiance and I just went to the presenation yesterday.  This is not a scam! Fore those o fyou that think you were supposed to receive a $1,000 grocery gift card, you clearly were not paying attention nor did you actually listen to the representatice who called or do your reserach and look it up on  the wensite.  It clearly syas that you will get a $1,000 grocery COUPON card.  During our presentation, the presenter also said that we would need to pay the $4.95 shipping cost. Also, if you would have asked questions you would have also found out that the $1,799(ibcluded 23 set and china) package was not the only option.  You could have also opted to purchase only the 23 piece set for %1,199.99 OR one of the smaller piece packages wich start at $799.99 for an 8 piece set.  My fiance and I purchased the small set and he also through in a extra piece for free.  Keep in mind that you are not obligated to buy ANYTHING to get the prizes, but if you did purchase that day we also received a free 3-day 2-night all-inclusive cruise in addition to the other all inclusive trip and coupon card.  P.S. Everyone knows that on any "free" trip advertised by any company, you always have to pay your own plane tickets and maybe some kind of tax or refundable deposit. The free accomodations, food, beverages, and activities are good enough for me, and pretty much as good as you'll get on any of these kinds of promotions.  The deposit here clearly said a refundable $100 NOT $1,000 deposit.  PAY ATTENION!

    Waterless cookware
This scam has been ongoing for some time.  The name just keeps changing.  Royal Prestige, New Era, Health Craft, etc etc

It's all the same deal.  You are lured to attend some sort of presentation and then pressured into buying overpriced cookware that does not perform as promised.  Look around on the internet and see for yourselves.

Nothing to worry about if the company is all on the up and up.  Indeed, free publicity.  I would think it would be welcomed.

    The Truth
How pathetic that yet another scam company has to spam this site with phony testimonials from its own employees. The truth is everyone "wins" and the so called prizes are worthless which is why they misrepresent them. They just want to lure you to a high pressure pitch for overpriced cookware through a bogus contest.
