- minnow421Well friends, I was also contacted by folks from ChefWorld Inc after my fiancee and I attended a bridal show. We decided to take a chance and attend the presentation. The gentleman who presented was named Vince and he was a very good salesman. Against our better judgment we did purchase a small pan however it took quite some time to arrive and in that time we changed our mind. When I called the company, to attempt to send it back I was told that we had missed our 3 day return period and couldn't return it. I asked if there was anything we could do they said no. This is a product they claim has a 50 year warranty and they claim it is of the best quality. If they ar so confident in their product why will they not allow for returns? The customer service I received was very poor; both people I talked to grew upset very quickly. As far as promos go, I think different ones are offered at each however we were offered the grocery coupon which was a scam as well as the vacation package which is turning out to be scam. The moral of the story: CHEF WORLD IS NOT WORTH YOUR TIME OR MONEY, I WISH WE HADN'T GONE.

- Ashley and Micah replies to RobynI regestered online at davids bridal and then got a call from Chefs World. I asked her if this was a result of me registering at David's Bridal and she said she had never heard of them so it must have been some other company that I registered with. Which I guess is possible, but made me somewhat skeptical. The woman told me that I got three prizes and had to pay nothing and there was no time share. My fiance are attending this weekend still a bit skeptical but on the off chance that its not a scam, I'd like to take advantage of it, I will post again after we have attended to let you know how it went.
- Get a life replies to starDid you hear the phone call? NO you did not. You need to shut the hell up because both my fiance, myself, and 4 other people in my house heard $1000 grocery GIFT CARD! We asked questions before we got there. So you and your ignorant comment can kiss my a$$ because you don't know what you are talking about!
- Who cares? replies to Barbie...Mind your business and get a life!
- electroLook, I don't know where you pulled this $1000 deposit thing from..... it doesn't say anything about that. I just went with my fiance to the same chefworld thing. You DO have to sit through the same chef world presentation, and they will talk your ear off a bit. At the end you do get what you came for though, and you don't HAVE to buy anything. The grocery thing is for coupons you pick out on the site, and the vacation is what it is, a vacation. Of course you do have to pay any taxes and find a way to get there though. They don't pay for your airfare.... just the hotel. It's not a scam, just not without conditions is all. I have also heard that there are no children allowed at the presentation, don't know if that's true though since none of us brought kids.

- Kaitlinit is not a scam!!! I thought it was too, but I decided I didn't have anything to lose, so I went to the presentation, which was actually awesome and then won a vacation (perfect for our honeymoon) $1000 in groceries and we bought an awesome pot.
Definitely not a scam!!! - KimThis is NOT a scam!!! We just got back from the presentation. We got everything we were promised! This was a very low pressure sale. I WOULD do this again!

- aaronme and my fiance just went, def. not a scam.
- DECEIVED "WINNER"Im not saying that his is a scam and Im sure that their products are great but they are trying to deceive their potential customers by telling them they won a gift card worth $1,000 that you have to activate. Im sorry but my definition of a gift card is a card you use at stores that has money on it. Not coupons worth up to $1,000 dollars. I can clip my own cupons at home. Like i said, their products probably are very nice but I wont buy from a company that is trying to decieve me. I've been to things like this before and there is always something they don't tell you about the gifts or they make it difficult to even go through getting them. I will never register to win anything again because most of these are deceiving companies that cant be honest with their promotions. If you want to promote your company, do it in a good way and stop this nonsence.

- Matt replies to WarrenThis is the same story for me, Just want to re-iterate that this is not a scam, it is just their way of advertising. They have quality cookware and other items. My fionce' and I went to this seminar just expecting to pickup our free gift for going but were absolutely sold on this cookware, I can't wait to get it and post another comment on this page. Just to let you know we did already have quality cookware that was top notch, (the Wolfgang Puck 23 Piece set that we love) but the system that they were selling were so extraordinary that we ordered. I awaiting eagerly and can't wait to use them, see you in a few weeks after I do and let you all know how they are.
- Matt replies to Looking out for you| 2 repliesNot True, You didn't listen completely, We recived two Vacations and are deciding when to book them now.
- SagecalamhotmailcomOk.. where to begin, My fiance and I went to a bridal show in Albany NY. She signed up for everything she could get her hands on (of course). We had a " Good " time while we were there. Show ended, went home, three days go by. After the three days, we are phoned with the same "yada" story you have all received. We did pursue it though. We had nothing better to do that day lol. We showed up for the presentation, the gentleman talking that day on behalf of Chef world was a chef. Published also (two books).
We sat and listened, were asked questions (and asked some ourselves) with 5 other couples who were chosen also from the bridal show.
Now then: From the get go ( the initial phone call ), we knew that the Grocery Gift card, was indeed a Grocery COUPON gift card. Someone took the time to put this together, so why shouldn't they make money on the shipping and handling? Go ahead and clip your coupons, You don't have to send in for the card.
The trip we got? 3 day/2 night: 100 dollar deposit. REFUNDABLE. You get it back at the end of your trip when it is fulfilled.
Not only did we get this trip, but upon purchasing the 10 piece pan and pot set, we received a bonus trip: a carnival cruise. "OMG is this possible" you say? Yes, Chef world is a bigger company that you know, their parent company has been around since the 70's (maybe a little earlier) and both parent and chefworld are partners in Carnival cruises.
They would rather put butts in the seats and get your money in the casino than have the ships sail empty.
Look, for most of you soured by your experience, maybe you had a crappy salesmen. Perhaps you misunderstood or maybe they changed some of the parameters of their trips and down payments and soo on. As an Experienced chef with over 25 years cooking, I can tell you the set of pots and pans I have are worth every red cent that I spent. For those of you who went to the presentation and didn't pursue it, you lost a couple hours of your life which could have been worse. For those of you who went and pursued it (and are actual purchasers of the product and not "bots" posting here lol) You probably got the 3/2 trip, perhaps the cruise maybe not, a bonus for buying that day and so forth and are probably happy.
The company is not a scam, but they do do telemarketing calls, which is no worse than any other company out there. Consider this, DO NOT GIVE OUT YOUR HOME PHONE NUMBER TO ANYONE OTHER THAN FRIENDS AND FAMILY. You aren't required to put it down if you don't want to on applications and so forth. DO NOT TRUST OTHER COMPANIES with YOUR INFORMATION. It is worth money to other companies.
Now, just so you know I am not a bot nor do I work for the company, My email address is my name. I am sure you can figure it out. If you have questions, EMAIL me and I will answer it. Put chefworld as the subject.
Some of you will say " He must work for the company", no... This is not the case. I just believe in EQUALITY bashing and not just bashing. There you have it! - JamieI went to the Holiday Inn at JFK yesterday. Though I am reading all these SCAM comments and I thought so as well. But there was no pressure to purchase and for me personally, the amount of information I learnt about pots and the contents that make them was helpful.
As a married woman, I spend most of my time at work, home or the grocery. And I honestly think for me it was an investment into buying quality products to cook my family's food. I purchased a 22 peice set for $900 and received two free 3day-2night trips as well as the $1000 grocery card.
We could all call it a scam if we want, but I just want great pots! What's wrong with that! The stainless steel ones I brought from Macys in November is already discolored at the bottom. At least with these pots there is a lifetime guarantee and I can return them for new ones!
I can't wait to receive my pots!
And we will be going to Vegas and Disney World!
Btw, you do have to pay a refund $100 when you book the room, if you've ever traveled and stay at a hotel, you know that they require a deposit just incase tehre is a damage to their room!
I would suggest anyone to go and learn.
People buying diamonds everyday but many are being scammed because most of those "diamonds" are CZs yet people buy them.
If you like to cook, you like to eat healthily, go for it and get the pots. You pay for what you get! Simple!- Caller: CHEF WORLD INC

- Def not a scam replies to Matt| 1 replyMy fiance and i attended the session and we LISTENED...very carefully... Also, like any attentive, responsible adult... we did our "homework" or research on the whole thing before we went and it IS NOT A SCAM!! If you listened to the phone call, the woman clearly stated that gifts. One of which is a 1000.00 coupon card, and the second is the vacation. Now again, with the coupon card and the vacation package, there are rules and regulations...If you read carefully the information that came with your package then you would know that YES there is a 100...that is ONE HUNDRED DOLLAR deposit... and if you read a bit further...you will read that is is COMPLETELY REFUNDABLE!!
So for those of you in life who expect everything to come with absolutely no strings attatched then your living in a dream world. So a word of advise to those of you who are like that...WAKE UP!!! NOTHING IN THIS WORLD IS COMPLETELY FREE!!! NOT EVEN THE WATER YOU DRINK IS FREE!!
I am going to enjoy my trip with my soon to be husband. Yea I may have to pay for a few things here and there...and yes there is a deposit required.. but the bulk of the trip is free and for that I am thankful. I am grateful because without this trip that I won...yes WON... The money would be coming out of my personal pocket to get away for a few days.
Get off your high horse and be glad you got something that most people would be paying for!!!
Thats the problem with the world today... Everyone wants to be fed with a golden spoon. Be grateful!! - def a scam replies to Def not a scamLOL how long have you worked there
