Thank you Realtor. I was wondering how I was going to erase old blocked numbers when I reached 250...which unfortunately is rapidly approaching. Adding this number today.

The Do Not Call Program is a joke. It does not work against scammers or other callers who could not care less about the Do Not Call Program.  Also, the program does not apply to charities, political calls, or anyone you have done business with in the past. Check with your telephone service provider to see if they have a free service that allows you to block telephone numbers, some do. If they don't, consider purchasing a telephone that will block telephone numbers. Mine will block up to 250 telephone numbers. Someone calls, I push the block button and they are blocked from that point on. You don't even have to answer the incoming call to disconnect them and to block that number forever - just push the block button.

But most of all, NEVER answer your telephone unless you know who is calling from your caller ID. If it's anything important, they'll leave a message and you can call back. If it's a scammer or telemarketer and you answer the phone they put you on a list of "active" numbers and sell that list to other scammers and telemarketers.

Called I answered and it immediately hung up because I didn't say anything when I picked up..

Rang once, no message left. CID SHRINE SERVICES. Scam  for-profit  masquerading as not-for-profit

I'm a Shriner (and a Mason as well, obviously) and we do NOT solicit money for our charitable works over the telephone, PERIOD. We do it in person, or by mail. We fully understand how leery people are these days about the calls they get, and we are legitimate - but telemarketing is not one of our ways of doing things.

I hope these scum get caught and are prosecuted. They give us an undeserved bad reputation. Just ask any family whose child has been helped at a Shriners' Hospital. Our work and our services are free to the families who seek them.

They're still at it -- even after six years!  Admirable persistence for mere pains in the butt.  Called @9:15 A.M., E.S.T., on 3-13-2017, to landline in Northdale FL.  I.D.: "Shrine Services"  Hung up after four ring; left no voice mail.  Gotta love 'em!

Phone number came up on caller id.I Googled the phone number and realized that after no message was left on my answering machine that was definitely a telemarketing company

Shrine Services is a scumbag debt collector.  It has NO relation to Masonic Shriners.
Shrine buys old debt for pennies on the dollar and then tries to collect from people with similar names.  If they get your credit card, they will charge it and say that you paid a debt.

Got a call from Robert saying he was calling for the Shriners in Jacksonville, FL. Told he I was not interested and hung up . 5 telemarketers call so far today.

Didn't answer because I don't know anything about Shrine Services.

Just called my unlisted home number....did not leave message..errr!

They left a terrifying message on my voicemail and something needs to be done.

A "terrifying message"?  What that they were looking for donations?
