Call came in at at 12:30 AM. What's the deal calling after midnight? Caller ID said Shrine Services Knoxville, Tn.  I'm in Texas!  It hung up on my answering machine.  I called the number back and got a recording saying "Not a working number".  It didn't sound like the phone company recording though.  How are they getting away with calling at such an odd hour of the night?!!

My ringer is off, but tracked the # using 1800notes. Came back as Shriners something.
I expect ,that this time of year, there will be more.

Call came in from Shrine Services. I did not listen to caller, just told him that if he wanted money I wasn't giving any and hung up. We are on do not call list too. It doesn't make any difference, they still call.

Left some weird whispering message.

"Shrine Services" - some here are saying this company is "collecting for the kids to go to the circus", but make no mistake, this is a FOR PROFIT outfit and if you're on the DNC list, they are breaking the law by soliciting donations from you. Report them here:

It is a Shriners fundraiser.  But, before donating, please know this: Most people are surprised to learn that proceeds from Shrine circuses often don’t help sick children; the money usually goes directly to the operational costs of the Shrine temple.  Shrine Hospitals and Shrine fraternities are two distinct entities. The purpose of the fraternity is to raise some funds for the hospital, with one exception: the circus. The circus is the only Shriner activity where proceeds do not have to go to the hospital but rather to the fraternity itself to pay bills and cover its own expenses, including rent, building maintenance and liquor.  Skeptical?  Ask a Shriner.

There have been widespread exposés about the inhumane techniques used to break elephants and tigers, including beatings and chaining, to force them to perform. More and more people are condemning these practices and are recognizing the cruelty in hauling animals around the country in tractor trailers and boxcars. Such unnatural conditions leave animals stressed and afraid and prone to unpredictable behavior. This puts the very children the Shriners work to help at risk.  There have been many documented instances in which elephants and other animals used by Shrine Circuses have caused injury and damages. At least two elephant handlers traveling with the Shrine Circus have been killed by elephants.

Got a call from this number today.  Caller ID said Shrine Services.  I am getting MORE calls like this since I relisted my number on the DO NOT CALL list!

I guess, since many of us have deleted this number from Blocking, they started using it again.  Too Bad, just block it on my Panasonic Phone that can block any number I want to.

Since they are for profit and I am on the do not call list. I am reporting them to donotcall.gov

No message, no response on their part, and might as well have been a blank call.

Called 8/28/14 at 7:36 PM, caller id read "SHRINE SERVICES" in all capital letters.  Let call go to answering machine, but no message left.
