received call from that number.....did not answer/no message left.....caller ID shows Shrine Services

Actually, they're not violating the Do Not Call Act. Charities are one of the categories of callers that are exempt. However, like any other exempt caller, they DO have to respect your wishes if you tell them not to call any more. In my case, it's easier and simpler just to put 'em in my callblocker--I get very few calls from legitimate exempt organizations; most of my unwanted calls are scammers and spoofers.

I got a call from 865-963-4897 on February 23, 2016 at 4:38 pm.  The caller did not leave a message even though my answering machine was on.  My caller ID said, "Shrine Services."  I have been on the federal Do Not Call list for over ten years and I never give to charities who call.

Call from 865-963-4897. Left no message. Researched the number got this:

and a lot of complaints found on other reporting websites. Don't let them waste your time.

I called back. They knew the last name our number is registered under. Background sounded like a call boiler room. Our number is on the DNC.

Bob, just a friendly reminder to update your number on the DNC from time to time. As if the DNC is any good for its stated purpose.

Caller ID was "Shrine Services"...Did not answer & there was no message even though the message light was blinking which is annoying.

Someone called today at 10:18 AM and my answering machine picked up.  They did not leave a message and the caller ID said Shrine Service.   Their web site is: https://www.shrineservices.com/  It say: “Shrine Services, a division of Etsell, Inc. is a telemarketing firm. One of the major efforts of Shrine Services is raising money for local Shrine fraternities through Shrine Circus events…”.  Glad I didn't answer this call!

Constant calling

The caller ID says Shrine Services, not Shriners.

Caller ID said Shrine Services. Did not answer. No message left. This call was on May 2, 2016, so they're back again.

Got a call from this number on June 21. Caller ID said Shrine Service. Did not answer this time, but like others have said, in the past they have tried to sell tickets to an upcoming circus in my town.

Wow, I'm amazed at how many years this same number has been in use for telemarketing. Don't the Shrinners realize that you need to change your number every day to break through the call blockers? [Grin]

I use a Panasonic Cordless Phone System. A 250-number call blocker is built into the base unit/answering machine. (When you get to the maximum, it drops the oldest number when you add a new one.)

You might want to update your call blocker.  Mine holds 2700 numbers!

This is a for profit company used to solicit funds for various charities. As a result, your contribution is not deductible. Should you desire to donate to Shriners, send the funds directly to them. Otherwise, block this number as I did.

I felt mean and thought they needed some frustration so called them back on a cell phone that was being discarded and just kept it open while someone was trying to get me to make a choice.  That continued long enough so it just left it open and walked off from it.
