- costumer replies to EmployedScammers!!!!! liers!! you should go to prison!!!! why your card does not advertise why you sale and you product, instead applying fear tactics...
- john maine replies to Pete Pasco| 1 replyive had a system from this company for 4 years now and im very happy alittle expensive but I would have to disagree with this post I personally know the owner and know she would never have a employee of her do that or put up with that not a chance!
- Manatee-Spotter replies to danielI just got this "WATER ALERT" post card - wanting me to call 866-204-0720
I recently moved in, and had a land-line installed, and between the USPS and Brighthouse, I'm getting more junk mail and calls that I can remember in the last 4 decades. I have time... what do you think I ought to do? grab a thing of bottled water, call them up and make an appointment? I could just make the appointment, and not answer the door hehehehehe.
Mine came from St. Pete, FL

And fun suggestions? - AshleyReceived a bright yellow card with the words water alert in capital letters. Definitely a scam. Please do not call.
- MHReceived a lime green card in the mail today. They've apparently changed their tactics. Now the big, bold letters read "WATER ALERT."
- DrunkenSpidey| 1 replyThese people are persistent at best. They change the scam every now and then. Just got this WATER ALERT card in the mail a couple days ago. They also send a a card saying that they tried to deliver a package to you and it has a guy on the front of it holding a package saying sorry after 3 attempts we failed to deliver a package. Same thing you call the number and someone tries to set up a water test and sell you this water kit. I'm in Pennsylvania this number started with a 570 area code. I had a few beers in me so I called the number. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Tip of the day !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! dial *67 before you dial one of these numbers then your phone number won't show up on caller ID. Any way, I called the number and i got a receptionist who asked where to be directed. Apparently they operate out of office buildings with several other businesses as well. Finally I got transferred to my WATER ALERT area. I immediately asked what they did and they told me they do a lot of things and wanted my information. I said, "why the hell would i give you my information when you wont even tell me what you do." She then said it was for a free water test. I laughed and said, "no thanks, I know that scam."
- Tamianth replies to DrunkenSpideyItems coming in the mail are under the US Postal Inspectors domain. You can give them to the local Postmaster or file a report here:

https://www.usps.com/ - Joe WinkleblackGot the "Water Alert" card in the mail yesterday that they could not reach me by phone. On the card printing in a big bold block lettering "V.F.W." I guess they want to target the elderly and THAT IS REALLY SAD!!! I work with the elderly and many of them are simply overwhelmed by the how fast the world is advancing so it makes them easy targets for scammers like this. Unfortunately many do not use the internet and would have noway of find this. Be sure to tell any of elderly friends/family that this is a scam!
So I called the number 1-866-204-0720 on the card, because I like to waste scammers time. The guy wants to test my water and sell me a way overpriced filtration system. It's your typically scare tactic marketing. They will tell you anything to make you scared to use the water. The stuff there are selling in nothing more than a junk water filter, that is no better than one you can buy at a home store and 1/10 the price.
By the way they never did tell me the company name!!!- Call type: Telemarketer
- DS replies to holidayI would think if there was a true water alert, the county or the city would be contacting us.
- CarrieI received a neon yellow card in the mail today with "WATER ALERT!" at the top. My last name and address were hand-written. The "company" listed on the card is V.F.W. and it gives this number to call back. I got a generic recording that asked for my name and number and I just hung up. Definitely smells like a scam.
- Dan| 2 repliesDitto. Received lime green card today. Same writing. V.F.W and 1-866-204-0720, WATER ALERT from St. Pete. I'm in Pasco County.
- Pas| 2 repliesDitto. Received lime yellow card today. Same writing. V.F.W and 1-866-204-0720, WATER ALERT from Tampa. I'm in Pasco County.
- Pete Pasco replies to Pas| 1 replySomeone replied to my post and said they know the owner and that they would never pull a scam like this. Well it was definitely observable that he was in late stages of Alzheimer's. They talked him into financing this garbage equipment for upwards to 65% interest for 72 months!! I tried to contact the finance company UCR and they refused to give me a payoff amount and said he had to continue payments. $120 a month for 72 months!! Spoke to Victory First at their office and they tried to take me outside so no one else would hear my complaints. They said it was totally out of their hands and my dad was stuck with the payments. They for their money so they are happy. Nice way to do business with senior citizens. Totally disgusting
- MJG replies to Pete PascoHave you contacted an attorney - especially due to the mental condition of the buyer. I would also check the legality of that interest rate!!
- RonI keep getting calls two and three times a day, I block the number and they call from another number , I am sick of this and ready to get an attorney for unwanted calls . The lawyers do that . cal after call after call. STOP already

Ok, how do these people have my name and address and ph#?
who provided my info to this water filter scam company?
i paid my water bill already so i know it wasn't that, and i was scared there was a leak or some extraordinary reason regarding my water. After reading the reviews and found out its a filter company, i wonder what legal actions i could take? i never authorize to release any of my information for promotion offers for any company. so that means this is straight up illegal. wait until they get a hold of me and if they dare come to my home ill be waiting with a shotgun. no trespassing sign if these people are truly idiots they will pass and get a bullett in their ass! i dare them to call me harassment lawsuit, and guess what they have to hear a mouthful.
