- janswered call. No one came on. Of course the phone call are not the only thing. Have received in the last three days mail, 4 offers for credit cards from BoA.
- KathyI saw this number on my caller id, it stated "toll free call". I figured it was a telemarketing ploy, but I called it back anyway and a gentleman answered and I let him know that I had the number on my caller id and I wanted to know why they had called my home. He went on to tell me that they are contacting all Bank of America customers offering a credit protection service due to the increase in identity theft, after his 1 minute spew I lost track of what he was saying and then there was a 10 second silence and then he just hung up! How RUDE! Anyways I will be contacting Bank of America to remove my name from any calling lists they may have.

- 866-228-8944Despite numerous written complaints to the Ohio Attorney General’s office, including letters to Bank of America and letters directly to the Telemarketing Company calling on BoA’s behalf (Synergy Solutions,) the calls have continued non-stop for over one month!
The Credit Card we have is a Bass Pro Credit that is handled by Bank of America!
I have sent a complaint directly to Bass Pro and I would urge others to contact the company that the credit card is with and complain!- Caller: Bank of America/Synergy Solutions

Re: Harassing Phone Calls
To Whom It May Concern:
Today, I received yet another harassing, unprofessional, and rude hang-up telemarketing call at 9:16 AM.
Now before I go into the details of my complaint, I would like to provide you with some background information so that you will understand why these Telemarketing calls must stop!
A number of years ago, one of my students started making death threats against me. It turned out that the death threats was very real because there happened to be a nationwide manhunt for this ex-felon. It also turned out that he had just been involved with a burglary that resulted in a murder… this explains why the FBI informed me that a death threat had been made!
A few years later, another male student started harassing a female student who then asked for my help. I contacted the male students parole officer… he was on parole due to a rape conviction… the only thing I will say is that Ohio Parole Officers are not very professional and I feel sorry for the public!
The last point that I would like to make is that in addition to having extensive experience with adult education, I also have extensive sales experience and I have seen first hand the fraud and deception that goes on in the Telemarketing Industry. I am also aware that there are some Call Centers in this country that use prisoners and that 99% of Identity Theft is from inside a Company…
With these points made, what do you think my attitude would be towards Telemarketing Calls? Have you ever been in a Telemarketing Call Center and seen the type of people who call your home?
As a former Risk Management Consultant, I can assure you that if you have seen the things that I have seen… you would never accept a Telemarketing call again!
Now with this said, I have to ask you why should a Bass Pro customer get repeated, unwanted and harassing Telemarketing Calls? Why should a Bass Pro customer be forced to write Ten Complaint letters about the Telemarketing Calls? Why should a Bass Pro Customer be forced to send over Twenty-Five Fax letters while trying to get the Telemarketing Calls stopped? Why should a Bass Pro Customer be forced to contact the Ohio State Attorney Generals office in an attempt to get the Telemarketing Calls to stop? Why should a Bass Pro Customer be forced to write the Third-Party Telemarketer directly in a vain attempt to get the phone calls to stop? Why should a Bass Pro customer be forced to post complaint letters on the Internet?
Why should a Bass Pro Customer have to explain why they want the Telemarketing Calls stopped?
Now I started getting Telemarketing Calls from (866) 233-2773 and from (866) 228-8944… (Every single one of these calls has been hang-up calls!) I then checked on several sites including, http://whocalled.us/, https://800notes.com/Area-Code.aspx/1-866, and www.ripoffreport.com, just to name a few websites!
My research showed that these calls are by and on the behalf of Bank of America. When I told my wife this she told, “OH that is because we have a Bass Pro Credit Card!
It is too bad that the Owner of Bass Pro – John L. Morris can’t get on the Internet and see for himself what happens when people make the mistake of getting a Bass Pro Credit Card… which is handled by Bank of America.
… and it is a shame that the Bass Pro Marketing people are allowing Bass Pro’s good name be ruined by the rude, harassing and unprofessional actions of Bank of America and their third party Telemarketing firms!
Sincerely,
Cc. Marc Dann, Attorney General of Ohio
Kenneth D. Lewis, Bank of America Chairman & CEO

- BillyAccording to caller ID we are receiving calls from this number 2 or more times a day. We don't answer calls from "unknown name." Until today. A male with a possibly hispanic accent asked for my wife. In keeping with the general theme she also had a Bank of America credit card, which she recently closed to protest some of their policies.

- Ann Anon replies to SherrI'll bet they stop once everyone who is so sick of the harassment gets those high powered sound producers. Guaranteed to produce a pitch that will definitely permantly damage one's hearing. Wear OSHA advanced level-approved earplugs when you apply to the phone speaker. After these businesses start having to pay all those workman compensation claims related to their deaf telemarketers, they'll find some other annoying way to market us... at least our phones will be left alone...
- Rosa replies to SherrSave that contact info for Synergy! I read where a person who was recieving them on the cellphone, and had already been on the "Do Not Call" list actually went to court with the phone records and *successfully* sued the telemarketer.. So far this person had collected about $70,000. The article was in MSN news online. I don't have the bookmark here but a google search will bring up the persons name, etc.
- ColoradoThese are the same jerks who have been calling and when I ask who it is - no answer. We are on no call list. I will be cancelling my credit card - was MBNA - now the B of A - thanks for the helpful info on these idiots. I will be transferring my business elsewhere.

- Martha replies to MThank you. I am a postal worker.
- MarthaI contacted BOA,and got in touch(finally) with someone who said she would take my number and put it on the"opt out" list. This could take as long as three months. The number is 1-888-341-5000, or you can go to the BOA website and click on privacy and security line, found way down on the bottom of the page. Maybe this will help.
