I phoned the real Cynergy Solutions at 1-800-516-9561.  The phone number 1-866-228-8944 is not a valid number for Cynergy Solutions.  This is a scam.  Please do not give out any personal information.  The phone number has been reported to Bank of America to investigate further.

Although we have been on the Federal "do not call" list since its inception, this number (866-228-8944) calls my line in Williamsburg at least twice every day, and some days more often than that. We do not pick it up.

Caller purported to be a representative of Bank of America, and under the "guise" of sending me my credit report, attempted to get personal information. Do not, under any circumstances, give out this information!!  If you need your credit report, go to your bank's loan department, and request it through conventional methods.

Repeated calls from this number - asking for my husband when I ask who is calling they hang up....very annoying!

you can always file under the US Government NATIONAL DO NOT CALL LIST.  TRY IT I DID AND IT WORKS

I have received upwards of 20 calls from this number 866-228-8944 in the last 3 months. I have caller ID and the calls are always ID'd as "OUT OF AREA." I'm really, really sick of this. Suggestion on who to write to to stop this?

Selling services for Bank of America. I'm currently on "do no call list".

They've identified themselves as Synergy Systems, and they're trying to sell me credit protection through Bank of America.  I've asked them 3 times to put me on their do not call list, which they said will take 30 days.  In the meantime, they are still calling me.  I've blocked the number through my local phone company, but I'll see what happens.

We have been receiving calls from this number which is Synergy Solutions for Bank of America.  They recently bought out MBNA and my credit card from MBNA is now with B of A.  This is an affinity card.  I have mailed my organization and told them I will not be using this card as long as the problem continues.  If enough people do this the organizations will presumably bring some pressure on B of A to stop this garbage.

I just called Bank of America.  Will cancel my Ducks Unlimited credit card.

Jerry, thank you so much for providing this information.  I have filed complaints with the FTC and the Arizona Attorney General's office against these people.

These people have been calling at least twice daily for weeks. Sometimes I don't answer, but when I do, no one answers me.  I am sick and tired of these calls.
Thanks for letting me know who these people are as I have 2 credit cards with Bank of America and will be sure to cancel them, as I don't want to do business with this tye of Company. Will be sure to report them to the Attorney General's Office in PA.

For what it is worth, I called Synergy just now at the 800 number Jerry provided (thank you!), and spoke with Anita.  I told her of my own experience (similar to others noted on this site), and asked that my phone number (on the National Do Not Call List) be removed from their system. (I am also a BOA credit card customer).  She said that they (Synergy) are a call center.  I told her that I didn't know if their entire business was of this type, but that if they actually cared about how they did business, they should know about people's experience being called by this number.  She said she would send my information to their Client Services Manager (to have our number removed from their list -- possibly 3-4 weeks), and said that "this is not the way we like to do business".  I referred her to this website so that she could see all of these reports.  She said they would be able to find out who was using the 800-228-8944 number.  Perhaps this contact will be of no real value, but I gave it a try.  BOA, by the way (the number on the credit card), basically said they couldn't do anything . . .

And, as a follow-up, I called the BOA number Jerry listed (704-386-5681), which yielded an answering machine for someone in investor relations, which had a message giving the BOA customer service number (800-432-1000), which I then called, and after entering a bunch of 0's and finally a 7 (for "other'), spoke with a representative who checked and said that neither the 866-228-8944 number nor Synergy Solutions were listed as being affiliated with BOA.  I told her that many people were cancelling BOA credit cards in an attempt to get these calls to stop, and gave her the link to this website.  She was grateful and said that she would pass this information on up.  Again, for what it's worth.

They call daily and don't leave a message. Sometimes they call twice a day. I never pick up the phone to answer, so I don't know what product/service they are pitching.
