they take 6.00 approx off the bat for every call ...every call!! for a service fee

they arescams because they know how vulneranle we are on inside and outside when someone innocent is in jail...you will pay thru the nose when you know someone is in jail and you feel they re innocent..I checked all services...ALL RIP OFFS..

This is happening to me now

Global link is a mess they have you put money on there just for they can take majority of it so when it love ones come call and u talk to them for a few seconds then next thing u know they say that u was on a three way call and hang up the phone then it spouse call u back eating up more money..... sometime when I talk to him we could have a couple of second then the phones go out but they say the system down or its our phone but next thing know u have sixty seconds Left  but the hold dang time u haven't or couldn't hear from the person I called couple service bout they tell me their nothing they could do bout that

I have a brother who is in prison I get maybe 1 call a month I have never had a problem with his calls now I get this message telling me I have to prepay in order to talk to him.. What gives them the right to tell me I can't talk to him unless I prepay I pay my phone bill on time every month I am pissed for sure!!!

That's one really long sentence.....

GTL worked fine for me & customer service was very nice & willing to help when I needed a refund. They charged me a $5 fee for the refund transaction which can be expected from most companies & my money was back on my card the same day.

No idea why I keep getting robo calls with recording partially cut off with the tail end telling me to dial this 800 #. Dont know anyone incarcerated.

I had two msg on answering machine, and one call after I got home.  Msg said call 1 866 230 7761 to block future calls.  It is a legitimate "GTL" company for inmate to call family.   Sorry "Lonnie Wagner", I don't know you.  Wrong Number.  I called GTL 866 and had ALL calls from inmates blocked. (Press 0 and wait for a real human to help you) They will ask which Correction Facility, since they handle many in different states.  They will ask you for your name (say any name) just in case you ever want to UNBLOCK any future calls from an inmate.  Even a 4 digit pin so that only YOU can unblock it.
No Credit card scam to be blocked.

I am having problems with this same company. I think it might be the same one l signed up with at 1 point in the time of incarceration of someone l know. I paid for the service l believe it was $91. We never could use this service but they took the money and l never could get back through to them. I tried stop payment with my bank but it was too late.
Now someone with Global link is trying to get money off a card that l had to cancel because of fraudulent activity. I want to talk to them to see why they think l owe them. I only pd for advance money for calls after that happened.
Tell me how to get a hold of this co or someone who knows how to get in touch with them.

I set up phone service when my son was in one county but they transferred him to another county, same state but the money didn't transfer.  I called the 1800-483-8314 number that was given to me and the recording says I have a balance but I don't know how because that is not number I used to set up the account and that is not the amount that I had in the account.  I chose the option to speak with a representative and was greeted by a very rude customer service representative.  I'm so confused with this system.  It's terrible that they don't care about you or the inmate.
