That is the number to Global Telling.  It's used as a prepay account usually from correctional facilities.

this no. has been calling my cell for days. I answered it to hear it was from an inmate at orange county jail. a friend had just recently been incarcerated at this jail so i accepted the call. The recording said it was from GLOBAL TELL LINK and asked for a visa or master card no. witch i entered . when the no. was read back to me each no. was said twice.The call was not going through. I tried a mc thinking it does not accept atm cards. Needless to say both cards have been frauded and cancelled. Investigations are being conducted. if this has happened to anyone else let me know or file a police report.

Got a call on my wife's PRIVATE CELLULAR number's voicemail.  Recorded msg says it was an inbound COLLECT CALL from Tulsa County Jail, but it needed to be on a PRE-PAID account to be setup with 866-230-7761...[Google=Globe-Tel Link].  Also, to press [4] to "accept" the call.  WE don't know ANYONE ANYWHERE "near" Tulsa or Oklahoma.  And even if it was someone we knew that got into trouble "just passing thru there, they would call our HOME, or MY cellular number instead.  SCAM.  SCUM!!

I recieved a call from an inmate i gave globaltel my cc number they said declined twice but visa said i was charged twice cant recieve any calls lost 50 bucks cant get globaltel to talk or return call its all automated

got a call on my cell saying basically the same as the above messages.  I called back but did not give any information and just hung up when it was going to be a 2 hour wait and they would call me back.  This said it was a pre pay account via global tell link for someone in Cuyahoga County Jail, Cleveland, Ohio.  I hope this is the last

I got several calls from a person I know that is incarcerated from MC Gobal Tel Link, I did submit my card information, shortkly after they began to tell me that my card has been declined but the charges were cleard from my account, and the person keeps calling and they tell that I dont have sufficent funds on my account.

This company [***] sucks. It tells me cards are declined when there is more than enough funds available.to add funds to the account you have to speak to a customer service rep..I have been trying to go on their website for the last two hours and it doesn't work

This is a scam. Do not give out any information. There are several people asking for you to forward your phone service (to accept collect calls) to their numbers. This caller wants your credit card info or you to forward your phone service so "THEY" can accept collect calls to "there" phones. It is a scam. DO NOT GIVE OUT ANY INFORMATION TO THIS SCAMMER.
This type call has been listed in the newspaper as a fraud and dangerous scam. They will run up a collect call bill that "YOU" will have to pay.

The phone number to complain to GlobalTell is 800 489 4500 or technical support 877 856 3184 <- this is the only numebr where I got service and blocked all future calls.

i agree, i have been trying to get my cell phone hooked up fpr two hours and cant figure anything out over the phone or the internet. When i asked to speak to a customer service rep everything went strait to spanish.

The same thing happened to me.  I got a call to my cell. My friend was incarcerated not too long ago and I believe the company said the same correctional facility. Of course, I accepted and entered my credit card info like a [***]. Anyways, they deducted $25.00 from my bank account and I haven't talked to my friend at all. In addition, my balance says I have $20.25 available. How is this possible? I'm infuriated!

I just received a call on my cell to call Global Telling about an inmate trying to reach me. Took a long time to get through as a recording said due to high volume they could not accept the call and try back later. Finally got another recording and was prompted to wait for an agent to speak to me if I held on the line, or they would call me back. I held for over 30 min. and then hung up as they were never going to answer. Called my credit card co. and found out it was charged, even though I was told by Global Telling it was declined.
Bad, Sad scam when you are trying to help one you care in jail, who needs your help, and you get scammed by a third party instead.
