This number called my phone this morning.  I didn't answer.  I called back after looking up the number and finding info on here.  We do have a Verizon account however the account is in my Husband's name with me as an authorized user.  They called MY phone even though he's had this account for 6+ years and except for today his is the only number Verizon has ever contacted about any "Verizon" issue, not me.  Lady got crappy saying I wasn't on the account and that she needed to speak with him not me. Had all of his billing info to boot which concerned me greatly. Handed the phone to him, and told him not to agree to anything until I called Verizon.  

I called and it turns out they are affiliated with Verizon and that they are calling to upgrade or renew your contract.  From what Verizon told me  the calls are made by "auto dial" and for some reason they called my phone instead of his.  The young lady I spoke with went ahead and put both of our numbers on the DNC list on their end for soliciting phone calls so that takes care of that.  

As far as the others who are getting these calls and don't have Verizon, I would call your provider and at least report this number is calling you.  If you aren't Verizon customers they may be able to put a stop to it somehow.

I recieved a call from this # on Monday & I didn't recognize it so I did a google search on it & all this info came up....Verizon should be ashamed of itself, trying to boost their #'s w/ their contracts....dont they know we are trying to figure out ways to gas up our vehicles & heat our homes??? All they are worried about is how many people they can get to sign up using them as a wireless provider.

Every night I get a call from this phone number.  Sometimes they answer, sometimes it is just 'dead' air.  Tonight at approximately 7:15, I answered the phone and when they asked for me, I said "I'm sorry, she passed away 2 days ago".  They apologized and are taking my name off their list!  I think this may be my new tactic.

I just got the same call twice, but didn't answer.  They didn't leave a message...Thanks to the other posts I now know what is going on!

This number calls me about 3 times a day. I never answer as I don'r reconize the number. Very annoying

received a number of calls from this number, all which i missed. i decided to call them and some lady tried to offer me a promotion. i asked her to stop calling this number and so far they have ceased calling

That number has come up on my Called ID for the last two days.  No message yesterday on voicemail, and no one said anything when I said "hello".  So I Googled it and found you fine people.  Thanks for the tips.

I must have talked to these screwheads a week or so ago unknowingly, and even tho we just renewed our contract and told them so, they must think i'm a possible mark; because now i've gotten about 4 calls in a 2 day span, with no VMs left and the last one no one was there so i didn't say hello a second time.

I'm on the U.S. government's Do Not call list, but i suppose they get around that because i have previous business with verizon?

wish i could submit a bill for all the minutes they've used of mine.

Got the same call today, and didn't provide any info.  I then called verizon directly myself, and they checked the account, and did confirm it was verizon that called (made me feel better)...

They've been calling me for about one month. I spoke to them one time but was too busy to give details. I ignore the calls now when I see it on the screen. They offered me 100 free minutes, etc.  However, I had spoke directly to Verizon and got a different promotion plus my plan had not expired yet they still called.

Yeah these guys are the worst. They called my 5 times in a row untill I answered. I told them to take me off their list and they were still trying to sell me stuff. A**holes!

Same number just called me, with no one there when I answered. Glad to see here what it is.

Continually calling my home office looking for a man that I don't even know.

Never once updated their records with what I had been telling them. If I didn't answer they would never leave a message.

Today they called while I was on another line and I decided to once and for all call the number back.

They again asked for a man I've never heard of and I asked to have their records changed and to be put on a do not call list.

So we'll see if they call again!

I got the same calls.  The person told me she was contracted with Verizon Wireless to offer me a promotion to renew my agreement.  I told her I would not confirm any information.  I read Verizon Wireless Privacy Policy and the policy clearly states that Name, Address, and Wireless Phone Number will not be shared with other parties.  I contacted Verizon.  I was told that this originates from the Continuity dept.  She promised, but could not confirm with certainty that it was a Verizon employee and not a 3rd party.  I wanted the company info for the contractor, but I was assured that there was not one.  This is diametrically opposed to that which I was told and that which I have read here.
I believe that Verizon is in violation of their own Privacy Policy and I suggest that you pursue Verizon Wireless with vigor to ensure your privacy.

yea we have been getting those calls too. they call about 3 to 4 times a day. when i have picked up they dont answer. one time i got pissed at them and said your [***] gay and hung out. then another time this lady answer wanting to speak to my mom and i said she was not here and can i take a message. she said rudely no theres no need for a message and i then i said whos calling the [***] hung up. next time i will mess with them. they wake me up in the morning.

They are donkeys. i renewed my service 2 days ago and they called me 3 times already.  Buncha idiots.  OH BTW, you don't need to give anyone your social over the phone.
