Call from Apple with a validation code that I requested initiating from my end - just a security measure to verify my account. Very legitimate.(I called back to that number and got an automated message letting me know just that-was a number used by Apple to call or send text messages for verification purposes.

I recieved 5 texts in the afternoon giving me a new Apple verification code each time. Then I recieved a call at 10:57pm from this number. I do not own any Apple products at all, nor have I accessed any Apple services in a long time.

Scam they keep caller say I owe student loan

Got a text for "Apple verification code" then a call from this number both at 5:40 am.....I don't have an iPhone & if I did I sure don't need to talk or text about it at that time of the morning! Scam.

Recieved two text messages and a call from this number, I hadn't even updated my number with apple yet, called apple support and they told me it was a scam caller.

Do you know why they call me?

"They" seem to be scammers, pretending to be from Apple or from Student loans scammers, who want to trick you out of money.  Be careful.  Also be alert there are shills in this thread as well.

With two types of calls being reported, I would say this is a NOT a number associated with safe calls.

Web search shows it as a PC scam number too!

Caller ID, "Toll Free Call", Did not leave a message. The same thing happened tonight as others have indicated.  One call with the same caller Id followed by another a few minutes later, but the same. It is obviously a scam call.

Valid number and will only call you if you need a 2Auth code to login to your Apple ID account. However, you should only receive this call if you manually ask for it upon logging in if you don't have an Apple device to login instead. If you receive this call with a pin, someone may be trying to access your account and you should change your password immediately.

They're not from Apple, this is a scam. Dont trust this Ann D comment!

called 7:30 a.m.-thought these scammers were not allowed to call until 9 a.m.EST-husband answered-hung up on whoever it was

How ignorant can the public be? Apple does not call you. You call Apple support if needed. Why answer a number you do not know? Watch out. They call once. I hang up. They call back twice immediately, thinking you will pick up. Do Not Pick Up.

My provider gave me a number for APPLE to call and have them trace it
I have to call them when their offices open Monday
My provider also said they never call like that
they provide TRUE call back ID and the NUMBER IS GOOD
Call your provider with the time and number

pass it on... this is a PHISHING SCAM NUMBER related to the iCLOUD Credit Card Phishing Scam

Called my number didn’t answer me and now when I call my husband number using my text free number it comes up as dialing his
