constantly calls

This is the first call.  I did not hear a response when I answered the call.  Who is this ? What company is calling ?  What is happening here ?

2nd morning in a row, Jan 8th at 10:17 and 9th at 9:21AM.  Last week in evening. No one leaves message, shows on caller ID 866-290-4961. Annoying when I belong on do not call list and have a block on my phone number.

I have told all my friends and relatives that I will not answer the phone due to telemarketers. If they call they should expect an answering machine. When they tell me who they are I will pick up. It seems to be working very well. In addition when a telemarketer gets and answering machine, they will hang up.

These people have called for the last three days at least 4-5 times a day. When you answer and tell them the person is not at home can I take a message they will say no I will try back another time. How annoying.

Recieved calls eight weekdays in a row call identifies themselves as being from Discover Card.  I told them we were on the do no call list.  They say it is a business call I told them that my wife worked everyday and not to call and yet I continue to recieved the calls.

Have been recieving numerous calls from 866-290-4961, day and night.  No one is ever there.  ID shows Toll Free Call.  The USAttorney General should put a stop to this immediately.  I am on the US and the PA Do Not Call Lists.  I have filed a complaint against this number with both of them.

Based on what i've read here, I called the Discover Privacy hotline at 1-800-225-5202 and opted out of them sharing my information with anyone ever.  I hope this stops the teleharrassing calls.

I was told by a very soft spoken lady that my phone number and mailing address would be removed for the solicit list.

They call me 4-6 times a day and once I answered the phone and nobody talks right off so I hang up.

either a rude person in on the line or no one is there .. thy call every day

This is Discover card.  If you call back the number you get a message.

i called back the number they called me on. told them not to call me and they said ok. it is from discover card and they are selling account protection services.

Calls are related to Discover somehow.  They NEVER say a word when I answer ... they just hang up!!!  Since I have a Discover card, reporting them to "do not call" won't help.  I called Discover & asked to be put on their "no solicitation" list, but I'm still getting 2-3 calls a day!!

I just called them back and pressed "1" to speak with a live person.  When he answered, I pressed a number which caused a rather loud beep to be transmittted.  This may cause me more grief ... when the beeping stopped, the person said he'd be sure to call my number more frequently.

These a**holes have called me 10 times in the last 2 days. Unfortunately, I have a discover card, which I will be canceling. I'm on the 'do not call' registry. Fat lot of good that does. I will also be reporting them. Also, fat lot of good that does.

JJ - You must be on the west coast. The reason they don't call after 9:00 PM is because they close at midnight and are located on the east coast.

Yes this number does call all the time. I am not sure if it is Discover or not. BUT The calls from before, from the same number, were from Discover and  they always wanted to talk to my wife. Now I get the ring with no one there after I told them where to put their phone.

Called and hung up with no message when they got the machine.
