I've told Discover to stop calling she said they would take me off the calling list but they didn't, I still get calls from this number, so don't get your hopes up :O(

Yet again another call from 866-290-4961.  I pick up they hang up. If nothing can be done about it why do we keep posting these complaints?

Every day and sometimes several times a day I get calls from 866 290 4961.  I'm on the federal do not call list and I have asked Discover to have my #'s removed from their calling lists more than 25 times in the past three months. Nothing has worked so far.  By December 8 they have called 9 times despite my conversatios with their managment folks.  Not only are these calls annoying but they are dangerous as well.  I Captain a charter vessel for hire in the Gulf of Mexico and the #'s they call are emergency communications lines which must be responded to by my crew.  Thousands of $'s and crew hours have been wasted by responding to these incursions.  I am cutting up my Discover card and filing suit in federal court against discover.  I've also formaly complained to the FTC and to the United States Coast Guard Safety Office about these violations.  This is going to get very expensive for the perpetrators.

I get this number and a lot more. As that old comerical goes " I'm up to my eye ball in dept, does anyone want to help me out" I known these are dept collectors. Hold it before you say it's my own fault. I di not buy a lot of thing to get in dept.My husband handles the bills. His prnsion was invested and he believed in the lady handling our money. When 911 happened we lost over $200,000. Then it evened out. We had a piece of land  for 10 yrs to build a double wide home on. WE put that on the back burner. Then the time seemed right to go ahead. The cost of a doublewide is nothing compared to a stick built and it is in some was built better. He wanted to pay cash for the home and were the money was invester talked him out of it. Now all of his investments ( pension is gone) and we are lossing our home. We only have soc. sec.. We got into dept with medical bill and a lot of expensive medication that our insurance did not cover. So now we are being hounded by a lot collection agencies. A lot of these numbers i look up people say they don't know why they are calling them. They probally owe someone money

I have been receiving 2-4 calls per day from this number for over a month. Based on what I'm reading here I guess it is likely I will be receiving calls from this number for the rest of my life.

Panasonic makes a phone that allows you to block up to 20 numbers.  (I have no connection with Panasonic.)  That's another way to get rid of these unwanted calls.  The "Do Not Call" list is a joke!  Telemarketers ignore it and/or change their operating names and bases.  The feds are more interested in buying car companies and banks than pidly stuff like the "Do Not Call" list.

Its a constant calling if you do not answer they will continue to call until you do, then they tell you their calling about your credit card and not to be alarmed, press 9 if you would like to speak to a customer Rep. so I push 9 so I can tell them to remove from their call list but they hangup as soon as I start to tell them that. Then a week later they called again and when they asked if I wanted to lower my interest rate on my credit card I said Yes, then they said do you owe more than $3,000.00 I said no they hungup. Very annoying people, and they will use different numbers when calling.

Finally got tired of this number (1-866-290-4961) calling several times a day, and answered.  In my instance, it was Discover Card, trying to send me a "free" credit report for the past 7 years (from Experian, as I recall).  I just cut the operator off mid-sentence, said "I'm not interested" and hung up.

4 to 5 calls per day. Discover Card trying to sell coverage for accounts.

no leave a message but always call more than once everyday. it's annoying and disrespect. have no knowledge the meaning of no and no right to force someone at all. do they get a hint of no? are they dumb? what are you going to do about it before they do it again? it's very suspicious and scary. no record of this number which i check and how did they get my landslide which is blocked from all the telemarketers and other suspicious crazy peeps for over years?

I called them about 6 months ago and asked them to take my name off of their call list, and they did.  But it must be for a limited time, because they have started calling me all over again.  I guess I need to specify FOREVER.

they keep calling and calling when they have no buisness in calling, every time the machine picks up they dont leave a message.  its getting old and annoying.  ADD TO DO NOT CALL LIST.  they have called almost all week long.

keep receiving calls from these people at this 3rd party company. I keep asking them to remove me from their calling list and they never do. I have no idea who these people are and it was later explained that they are contracted out by Discover Card and I recently got that card. I spoke with a rep named C. Divers and he got on my last nerve continually trying to sell me whatever credit payment protector service that he was offering. I kept telling him that I was not interested and he kept asking! I finally asked to speak to his supervisor, Mr. L Scramm. He also continually tried to get me to enroll in this program. I am completely fed up. I am on the "do not call" list and I am going to file a report against this company. I found my Discover Card terms and agreement regarding their privacy policy and I was able to opt out from them sharing my information. Hopefully, this will limit the very unwanted calls!

Even if you do ignore their calls thats not going to make your problems go away you can't just rack up all this money on a credit card and not pay them back, like really really???
