Oh, and in looking through my caller ID history, that was their second call today and they called twice yesterday.

I have the same problem with Discover.  But just found out that if you call 800-225-5202 and list all the cards you have with Discover, they'll stop sharing your account info with their own companies or others.  I just called. No need to talk to real person, it's all computerized.  The phone number is from Discover Card website.  Should be fairly safe.

I just called the 800-225-5202 number and am glad that I did, now to see if the multiple daily calls will finally stop. Thanks a million dolby for this information.

I got this call today, and think I got it in the past.  They asked for me by name.  When I asked who they were, the line went dead.  I called the number back and it was Discover Card making some kind of offer.  I asked then plesae stop calling and hanging up on me or I would cancel my card.  They said they would stop calling.  We will see!!

I am glad I found this site, I have been getting calls from this number for over a year, almost daily.  Sometimes 2 - 3 times a day!  The first few times I answered and politely asked them to not call back.  I logged onto Discover's website to verify the 800-225-5202 number and it is valid.  If you want to check yourselves it is at the very bottom of the page, click on Privacy Policies.  About mid page down you will see in bold this information.  Lets see if the calls stop.

I've been getting calls from this number for about a month. I've let them go at first and when they kept calling I answer. I immediately got a message saying that a test had been done successfully. I've tried calling the number back and I get a beeping sound. Does anyone know whose number this belongs to. Surely there is something we can do. I've been on the no call list for about a year having just recently moved here. Please someone help.

Thanks for the 800-225-5202 number. It is for the Discover Card Privacy line. All computerized and so we will see how long it takes for them to actually stop calling.  Thanks again.

Got a call from this number on my answering machine. The only thing that was said was, "This time of day, I just love answering machines." Hang up.

If you have a Discover card, log in to your account and change your home phone.  I got a Grand Central number and use that for Discover...I have not received one call on my personal number from these clowns.  When I do check my GC account, those idiots call around 3 times a day just about everyday.

Won't stop calling. It's about every 15 min.

Got a call from this number this afternoon.  Have had several previously. Picked up receiver and answered in Spanish.  Party said "speak English". I responded in French - Then hung up....

For a while, 866-290-4961, would ring once a day.  Now it is up to 2 times a day.  Who knows where we go from here.  The one during afternoon nap time is the most annoying.  They have never said anything or left a message.  We are trying to learn not to pick up but we are in our 70's and answer before we realize it isn't cousins whose number ends in 4391. Name on the caller ID is not available in our rural area.

My Dad chewed their a$$es up GOOD when they called for the 100th time. Revenge is SU-WEET!

These people call at least two, sometimes three times a day.  They are very rude to my wife and refuse to say who they are and say they can only talk to me. It doesn't matter if it is early morning and supper time, later in the evening.  I have called 800-225-5202 several months ago and they took my number off the list, which worked for a while, but the calls started again.  I called the Discover privacy number again today, and "opted out" yet again.  My next call is to customer service to permanently cancel my Discover Card.

I dont even know what to do about these people!  I have put myself on the do not call registry 4 times.  They WILL NOT stop calling me.  What can I do to make them STOP????????>  They call my residence at least 5 times a day!  Just today alone they called at 10:42AM and 3:01PM.....So far....It needs to STOP!

I get these call, and never answer. I just found the tip to use call screening service on your phone, *60.  Add the numbers you don't want to receive calls from and they won't be able to call you.  

Souds like a solution to me!

I was getting at least a call a day for a week straight.  I called the Discover Privacy # listed in these posts.  Hope it helps!  Thanks for sharing the 800# - hopefully that will stop the madness!
