got calls from this number several times during a day. It is very annoying.

this number calls daily... I don't talk to machines...

The people calling everyone are the same people sponsoring this site...
giving them even more advertising to people...
Discover has and add right above our posts...

This is not Discover Card. Do not give them your information they are Epic Star Marketing. I called my Discover Card and they do not know who these people are. Beware!!!

They have called at least 4 times a day trying all different hours. My caller ID gives the 1-866 number but yet the voice activation on my phone calls it  1-800 service.   Discover Card sounds right since I have not activated my card so far.   Thanks for the info, it helps the sanity!

I have been getting these calls for a long time and also a few times a day.  I finally called back the number today and spoke with a customer service rep.  I told them that I have MS and it's difficult to get to the phone, so would they please stop calling me.  ( I really do have MS and it really is difficult for me to walk).  She took my number and name and apologized for disturbing me, so I am hoping that will be the end of these annoying calls.

I called the number listed above and gave them my card number and chose to opt out.  The gentleman was polite and handled my request.  Several days later, more multiple calls per day.

I am now calling their 866 number several times per day.  When the line picks up, just select #1 (for a representative) and play the same silence game.  I know they are getting paid and I am not but maybe that will help them understand the feeling of frustration.

I just called the number back and it's Discover calling to offer a service or product.

This is exactly why I registered my phone number on the DO NOT CALL Registry.  I have filed this number for a complaint.  We'll see what happens now.

I just got the call. They showed up as 800 Service. That was enough for me not to answer! Still, I have gotten calls for yrs from Discover Card. I have gotten their snail mail stuff, etc. Even though I have NEVER activated or used a Discover Card, they continue calling. I don't want them and I don't need them. Do Not Call Lists, been there, done that. Other than ripping the phone lines out of the wall, what else can I do?

I called the number back and had the option to "push #1" to talk to a real person--which I did. She identified herself as a Discover Card rep. She said she would add our number to their "do not call" list. she was pleasent. We will see if it works. I have a Discover Card and these annoying calls want to make me cancel it.

I get calls from this number daily. When I do answer, I get a robo message that says to press 2 to be removed from the call list. I have done this 3 times with no luck. When I press 1 to speak to a representative to ask them to remove me from the list, they hang up on me. The last call today, I tried to get more information and the woman I spoke to said the company name was "account services". When I ask what credit card she represented, she said they worked with all major cc. When I asked her for a website address to review the company in more detail, she refused and said I would need to be "qualified" before she forwarded me to the rep who could give me that info. When I told her to remove my name from the call list, she instructed me to press 2 the next time they called. This is ridiculous. This company must be stopped!

I have read lots of the comments above, and I have to say just about every one of the stories is exactly what happens to me! They call 4 or 5 times a day....all hours. I usually dont answer or say I'm not here. But today I decided to see what the fuss was about, She went thru her scpheel, I refused her about 4 times, she kept on talking. they are trying to sell ID protection and credit report service. I finally said I can get my credit report ANY time I want, and hung the f*** up!!
I'm sick of the calls, if it is really Discover, that's not good business if you ask me
