- LaniIt's Sirius.... I received a three month trial on my new car... the car is a month old, so they want to make sure I renew... Bleh....

- JM in ColoradoIf you bought a new or used car, that may be how they got your number. A free subscription for a period of times comes with many purchases. Generally, you can opt out in one of those documents you sign at the closing. But if you choose to get free Sirius for a period of time, their being able to market to you is the cost. Opt out as described above is the best option. They seem to be a reputable marketer.

- Austin TXI have received multiple calls per week from this number on my caller id but no message. So I just ignore it. Must not be that important. Life is complicated enough to make unsolicited calls a big deal. Just don't answer them. Thank God for 800notes.com :)
- peter@pundzter replies to inside infoGovt agencies, including politicians, public entities like the police or fire, so called charities and non-profits are exempted from the Do-Not-Call list. When I mention that I am on the DNC list, the response is always, 'but we are exempted by law'. To which I say, 'That makes your call all the more annoying to me!"
Regards - CABDon't get the calls , as hubby bought the lifetime subscription back in 2009 when he bought his new truck.. BUT what we do keep getting are letters from them telling us that they hope we enjoy our free trial subscription to , you ready, our 1997 Mountaineer, there was another and last has been the 2011 Chevy Camaro.. Umm, we never bought those cars, and I have had to keep calling to tell them to quit sending the letters. Now I got one of those mailings telling us that the warranty on the last car is running out soon. I am thinking because hubs got the lifetime, which they no longer offer, they have a screw up in their system and the trial keeps going in his name.. So far, knock on wood, they haven't stuck his name on another used car we've never owned or bought!!

- ConnieFor numbers I don't want to receive I just put them on my "send to reject list" and my phone doesn't ring when they call. it just goes to never, never, land.

- davehilti replies to KimAll you have to do is 1) take the call 2) tell them to put you on their do-not-call list and 3) drop the L-bomb (lawyer) and you will be gone from their list in 30 days or less. I used to work there, and that is what we did.
