How do I purchase call block? Is it an app you download or what? Does it work for messages as well? I have two numbers that constantly call and text me and won't leave me alone- I took to AT&T to get them blocked and even tho I have PROOF it's harassment they still want to charge me $40 to block them

That's dumb.  You could just buy the dang satellite radio for the cost of that.  Just tell them to take you off their calling list for Pete's sake.  It's REALLY that simple.

I get a phone call (from various numbers) several times a day from Sirius Radio.  Not only am I on a do not call list, my husband answered the phone once and told them this and to stop calling.  Of course, they are continuing to call several times a day.

This is from Sirius Satellite Radio ass wipes who can't believe I don't want to spend $12.95 a month to listen to what should be free radio broadcasts in my car. The free trial period ran out on my new car and they can't handle rejection. I will soon find out who the sales rep is and call him/her at home every day and every night until they get the hint. Failing that I will pay them a personal 'physical' visit and it may get physical. I called and spoke with Adam Soll, supervisor of the internal call group who told me he would remove me from their internal call list but it could take up to 10 days to get the calls stopped from all of their other databases as they are made up to 30 days in advance and can be up to 200,000 names on any specific sales campaign. I asked why they call people who are on the Do Not Call List and the told me it was not illegal to call people with whom there is or was and existing business relationship (my free trial period for my new car). When I said I didn't set up that business relationship with you - the car dealership did. He said then you have to ask the dealership to not give us your information so we can't contact you. Cute..... Who thinks about that when you're buying a new car?

@ "John": What you're leaving out in your explanation of how this works, is the fact that when you buy a new car from a dealership, the "preexisting business relationship" exists between the CAR DEALERSHIP and Sirius - NOT the end user and Sirius. I SIGNED NO CONTRACT with Sirius. It was a car dealership add-on option to help them sell the car. That's NOT a REQUEST for a business relationship between the car buyer and Sirius.     I was told by a Sirius Phone Sales supervisor named Adam Soll that I should have told the Car Dealership not to submit my personal contact information to them so this wouldn't happen. Until Sirius makes that fact known to Car Dealerships and anyone else offering Sirius' subscriptions on a free trial basis this WILL CONTINUE to piss people off and continue to enrage customers with Sirius and DialAmerica or whoever else conducts these campaigns. Who thinks about telling a car dealership to not provide Sirius with their personal contact info when buying a new car if they don't know they will be bombarded with relentless sales calls following the end of the free trial? I tell who - from now on - ME.    Pass it on.

I recieved 7 phone calls in 3 days from these clowns. I just filed a complaint with the FCC, BBB, & DNC.

They are calling a private, paid, wireless, phone number.  I have told them every time, to NOT CALL ME, and to remove me from their system.

Legal action with the AG, and private lawers will follow if I recieve, ANY further calls.  I don't even care if it's a call to apologize, I'll start sueing them.  The phone calls have been recorded.

The problem is the telemarkers not coding the calls correctly.  If they call you and you tell them to take you off their list they may not do it.  The might code it as a "not home" and then the computer will bring you up again.  I know this becuase I have worked there (and hated it).  You need to ask for a supervisor or call customer care, but don't trust the telemarketer to take you off the list!  Also, if you don't answer the phone, the computer just runs your number through again.  The telemarketer doesn't know how many times you have been called before so when you answer and yell why do you keep calling me, the telemarketer has no clue.  Its the first time he/she has called you.  There are some good honest people that work there, but there are also those who are not.  So play it safe. Talk to the supervisor or talk to customer care.  There is a "Do not call" list for SSR.  By law they have to put you on it, but you have to ask for it.  Hanging up in anger will lead to yet another phone call.  One more thing, if they say you have an account with them then you do.  You can deny it, but somewhere along the line you were tricked into siging up again or you signed up for automatic renewal.  It doesn't help to just say leave me alone.  If they say you have an account you need to talk to customer care and get it worked out or collections will be coming for you.  Hope this helps!  : )

Sirius XM loses another round over telemarketing in Missouri

Just after Labor Day, Missouri attorney general Chris Koster won a temporary restraining order against the New York-based satellite radio operator, and this week he persuades a judge to continue it and turn it into a preliminary restraining order, as the case goes to trial. Koster’s lawsuit charges that telephone marketers for Sirius XM made harassing phone calls to Missourians who had placed themselves on the state’s “no-call” list. A-G Koster says “our office will continue to prosecute any business, regardless of its size, when it makes unlawful telemarketing calls” to residents who have asked not to be called. Calls were sometimes made to those who had already rejected a subscription offer or whose trial subscription had lapsed.

I keep getting call from this number,  I am on the DO NOT CALL LIST.

Actually - telling them NO, IS NOT that easy.  I have tried for 4 months.

I have had Sirius for 5 years. I recently lost my job so didn't pay for my last quarter and let my service get terminated, with the intentions of starting it up again in about a month when I get situated. They have been calling me daily without leaving a message. Then last week,  got a letter in the mail from Sirius offering me 6 months for $25 and waived re-activation fee, so hey I jumped on that and reactivated yesterday. And guess what? They are STILL calling me! I finally just blocked them.

I bought a new car in March & I  never activated my free 3 months of Sirius
just for this reason I wasn't interested in giving anyone my credit card info for a Free
trial .  
So how did they get my phone number since I never activated their free offer?? Hmmm guessing the
car dealership gave thenpm the contact info of all new car buyers .

As a rule I never do because I can't be bothered canceling later on & I refuse to give my credit card #
out for a Free trial .  
So seems like the only way they got my home phone # is from the car dealership
I have no business relationship with Sirius since I never activated their free trial

XM is also very hard to get rid of, once you've got it. I would turn down the free trial as well, if they asked for a credit card. Remember how AOL used to charge customers for a month after they cancelled?
