- lp| 3 replieslaser recycling plus called our company asking to confirm our address and they told us that they have left over inventory for our machine and if we wanted them... so we said sure and we paid them only to realize that we never even ordered it... its been really hard to get a credit back from them... they sent us 2 more toner and an invoice for almost $1,000.00 and... if you don't want the toner and if you haven't paid for it just bring it to the nearest canada post office with the packing slip and invoice note COD on it and tell them to return it to the sender...

- NCRI had to deal with this last year, thought that everything was straightened out as i had informed laser recycling that our office has a lease agreement with the company that we deal with so there is no need to order anything from Laser recycling, then we get another invoice for cartridge/s that were sent to one of our offices, this package will be sent back to laser recycling, and another letter stating that we do not need or want their business.
- FrankYour best bet is to return and fax them a letter asking to be taken off their calling list - then you have something in writting!
- Sean| 3 repliesThis is a scam. They call, ask what kind of printer you have, then send you an invoice for ink. In our case they didn't even ship anything. They do not answer their phone.
They have 866-295-7860 listed as their phone number and 514-362-8244.
The tax IDs on the bogus invoices they sent are:
GST: 824591259 RT 0001
QST: 1216056104 TQ0001

- Mark| 1 replySimply do not pay them. Hang up on them when they call and throw out the invoices they send. They can not do anything because what they are doing is illegal on several different counts. It is illegal to send invoices for goods which were not ordered and it is illegal to charge 20x market value for their crap. If they keep calling over and over then file harassment with the police. If you did not order something then them shipping you the product does not in ANY WAY obligate you to pay them for it. Consider it a free gift and move on with your life. They will be caught and jailed eventually, our government is just slow.

- ThinksTwice replies to MarkI am happy to say that due to the simple act of questioning something that is unfamiliar or not understood my organization was able to identify the scam before payment was processed. Our story begins with our new receptionist who simply answered the simple question of "what is the make and model of the printer at reception?". She answered honestly. There was no promise of toner or parts or any other goods that would be shipped to us. After a couple of weeks went by a box labeled "Remanufactured Toner Cartridge" was delivered, it was for our printer at reception. Today we received an invoice from 'Laser Recycling Plus' for the amount of $434.67 including shipping. Thankfully someone in our accounts payable department had the forsight to question the invoice when she didn't recognize the vendor. A little bit of digging allowed me to paint a picture of what transpired. As a result I left LRP a voicemail message stating who I was and that we didn't order their product. I also said that we have no intention of paying for any shipping to return the product, if they want it back they have to pay to have it back, otherwise we will consider it a gift but under no circumstances will they receive money from us. Only time will tell how it will play out.
I won't pretend to know the legalities of any of this but it is my opinion that their business practices are dishonest and shady. I would discourage anyone from continuing to do business with this company or any that act in a similar way. I also encourage people to be brave enough to question what they don't understand instead of letting these things slip by because they don't want to appear ignorant. - Ace replies to Laser Recycling PlusIf you are a legitimate business why don't you have a web site, price lists and proper purchase orders that your customers can sign as proof that they did order your product?
Everyone here who is complaining about your company has had the same experience too. They get a call out of the blue asking what type of copier they have and the next thing they know they have a box of toner then a bill for $434.67 I don't think they all imagined it either. I know that part is true because it happened to me as well. I have no time for that nonsense so I just sent the toner back "return to sender" it didn't cost me a cent. No one from your company ever contacted me again so I will give you credit for that but do I think you are legit? Not on your life! - CurtisI had the same experience as most here. They evidently called my office and talked to my receptionist. No one here can recall getting any product from them, but we received an invoice in the mail for $434 that didn't even contain an explanation of what we had ordered. My receptionist called the number and talked to someone there who ended up crediting part of the invoice and brought the total down to $100. It still didn't sit right with me, so I called their 800 number to try to get some clarification on what we had ordered. I have called the company at least 50 times and left messages approximately half the time and have yet to receive a reply. On one occasion I actually had someone answer the phone and she passed me on to someone in the customer service department. I explained that I would not be paying the invoice until he could produce documentation that I had actually ordered something and that it had been delivered. He assured me that he would send the verification by fax and I have yet to receive anything. That was 2 months ago and I haven't heard anything back from them, so hopefully they've crawled back under their rock.
