All I hear on this site is people calling it a scam, but I don't see anyone actually saying they were ripped off.  I asked some more questions as well, and folks, it's just a business.  It's telemarketing for a specific service.  They get phone numbers any way they can (and if people are listing them online with sites like kijiji and craigslist and others, the numbers are readily available to telemarketers), they leave messages at all times of day, they follow a script that they're supposed to and rarely deviate from it... this is nothing new, and still does not mean it's a scam.

The scam would be if someone paid for their service (they have a 199 dollar money back guarantee if your vehicle doesn't sell as a result of their involvement through advertising) and didn't get their money back after a failure of that service.  If that's actually happened to someone and they have NOT received their money back, that's who should be posting on here calling it a scam.  

Just because they fib and say they've called you before and haven't, or they wake you up at 6am, does not mean it's a scam.

Well hello Paul, nice to hear from you -- shall we suppose this means that the site is continuing to cut the profits of your illegal business ... OH WAIT you're running a tax scam too so there aren't any PROFITS LOL.

Well the myriad of laws you're violating, not to mention systemic violtions of the terms of service of the places you harvest phone numbers, are well documented right here on this site -- and by now in the VA AG's office, the FTC .. and as far as that tax scam is concerned, well that's an IRS matter isn't it?

Calling people at 6:00am is a violation of the LAW. Calling cellphones is a violation of the LAW. Deliberately abandoning calls when a person rather than an answering machine picks up the phone is a VIOLATION OF THE LAW.

But just because you clowns violate all these laws (and more I haven't mentioned in the interest of brevity), doesn't mean you're ripping anybody off right? It just means you don't care about the law, otherwise you're all fine upstanding honest business people. You're honest. You don't care about the law. You're honest. But you don't care about the law. Maybe it's just me, but does something seem wrong with that?

Maybe we should all call Renee and get her take on it.

name was "Brad ". Said he has been trying to reach us for a
few days.....checked caller ID, not true..
Noticed we had a vehicle up for sale and he could help us

longwood inc brad has now contacted me here in saskatchewan, canada with the offer of selling my truck for a small advertizing fee to people who are garantied to pick up older trucks that may not sell through the net adds like used regina kijiji or auto trader. to him good luck and good buy.

I got this call today when I went to verify the company Longwood Inc I found this site. Thanks so much for the info saved me from the scam.
Brad called me from 866-326-0949. His call actually showed up as an unavailable number but the 866-326-0949 is the number he left me to call him back.

Got a call from "Brad"...he left a message exactly like the ones other people have been getting.  For a small fee his company can sell my "vehicle" ...bla, bla, bla......(I don't have a vehicle (it's a travel trailer).  How annoying--please block the numbesr 1-866-326-0950/1-866-326-0949

I am so glad I looked up this company.  Brad called me, "unavailable" phone #, assured me he could sell my vehicle.  I was going to call him back until I saw all the comments.  Thanks everybody for the heads up.

I'm advertising with autotrader.  Just got a voicemail from Brad saying for a small fee he will guarantee the sale of my car for a price I will be happy with.  I don't know how he can guarantee that but I sure as heck am NOT going to find out.

I, too, listed a car on Craigslist and almost immediately started getting calls from "Brad" with "Longwood Inc" at this number - so far I've received 4 calls from him - glad I found this information, and can avoid being scammed!

Actually the last one came from 866-326-0949, but it was also Brad from Longwood, Inc. wanting a "small fee" to help sell my car listed on Craigslist.  I haven't actually talked to him, but have received 4 voicemails from him.

'Brad' from Longwood Inc left a voice mail on my mobile same thing. I will report this to Fraud busters with the phone number he left!

Holy cow I'm glad I googled this Longwood Industries.  "Brad's" first message sounded convincing, but I didn't call back.  A couple days later I took my ads off of CL and kijiji because I changed my mind about selling my car.  "Brad's" second message raised a red flag because he stated "I see you still have your car for sale".  In fact, I had removed the ads prior to his second message.

I dunno - he just sounded slick and slippery and thank god for the power of the Internet!!

I received a very similar call today and I got the feeling that it was too good to be true. I told them no and the lady got angry and hung up on me. Don't fall for this! Same "Brad" called but "Debbie" answered and would not let me talk to "Brad."

called me 4 times...2 were hang ups, 3rd was a missed call and no message, 4th call I let go to voice mail and "Brad" left a message saying he could sell my vehicle...guaranteed, for a fee of course.  someone needs to stop this fraud.
I called the number and asked to speak to Brad...of course he was "unavailable".  I told them I did not appreciate or want to recieve any more calls and they acted very nice and said they would block my number.  We'll see.

I too have received several calls from "Brad".  I also will not be calling back.  I had my veh listed first on autotrader.ca when I received the first phone call (also less than 24 hrs after I had posted, yet they stated they had been trying to contact me).  My veh then went on to another site and they called me again, like it was the first time.  I have now received the standard follow up call!  Beat it Brad! ha....  I would recommend reporting them to phonbusters (Toll Free: 1-888-495-8501 or http://www.phonebusters.com).  This is a great site to stay on top of any fraud/scams you may have fallen victim too.  Cheers!
