Yeah right!  I am not going to pay someone to sell my car.  If I wanted to do that, I would just sell it to a dealer for less money.  I just heard nice elevator music and an automated message when I called the number.

I also got a call from Jacb Reed/Reid this morning, from a 501c3 company, telling me he possibly has buyers for our car we listed on Craigslist. Don't intend to call it back, due to the fact the whole message sounded odd anyway, and I didn't get a good vibe from it.

I also received calls from this fellow "Jacob Reed" on my cell phone. He claims to work for a company called Longwood Inc. and gave the 1-866-326-0950 number.  I searched the phone number and found this site. If any one including gary can prove that is guy is helpful matching a buyer to a seller then fork over some proof baby. Horray for 800Notes!

Got the same message from Jacob... I always check online before contacting people when they leave messages or send me things in the mail that seem "off". Glad I found this site. I just deleted the message. Thanks everyone!

How can that many numbers be in a phone number?
His message was the same as with you guys: His company is joining buyers and sellers of cars,
501-c3 company,  call 1-866-326-0950, etc...

Got a Call from Jacob yesterday, I didn't answer because it came through as 'unknown"  meaning it's a blocked call.  I have a truck for sale on craigslist.  I don't believe any legitimate business will block their number.  Didn't bother calling to inquire on the scam, googled it instead.

I too have a vehicle listed on Craigslist.  I have received numerous "unknown" calls on my cell phone, of which I did not answer them. No message was left, just hang up calls.  Today I received an a VM from Mr. Jacob Reed stating that he had talked me a week ago concerning my car. That he was with Longwood Inc & to call him back at 866-326-0950.  I googled the company first.  Glad I did.

I just received a 2nd call from Jacob Reed.  He called me twice in the past 2 weeks and left me messages both times.  The 1st time I didn't pick up because I didn't notice the number and the second time the call came up as Unknown on my phone.  I had also put my car up for sale on craigs list.  This company is complete scum!!!  Don't get fooled into giving them any money to sell your car.

I received the same call from Jacob.  I put the ad in last night, they called first thing in the morning.  I'm suspicious of anyone who would call from a blocked number asking me for money.  It's also unsolicited, they are selling not buying  So much, for the no call registry.

I had a phone call this morning from Jacob Reed - same story a everyone else is reporting. I listed my car on suto trader and beep beep.com. The caller ID came up as unknown. My car has been on these sites for less than 24hours.

I just received the "Jacob Reed" call in Albuquerque.  Please be aware of scam calls people!  Report them to authorities for investigation.

and got someone named "Gary Kirtley"whom I suspect is the same "Gary"
that is playing up how legit Longwood Inc.is on page 1.Scamming M-F'er.

I got the same call today.  They have been calling me everyday for 2 weeks! I have a car listed on Craigslist as well.  This persons name was Allison. Same crap as everyone else has been getting.  What a bunch of turds. The number they left was 866-326-0949.

I received a similar phone call from an "Allison" of Longwood Inc.  I advertised in the Want-Ad Digest and have no intention of calling them back.

i am not selling my car nor did i ever list it. the only listing i did was through our local paper for an apartment we were looking to rent.. This is a joke or a scam. as u can see i have no interest with them or even gave them a reason to call.

"Jacob Reed" called me the day after I posted a car on Craigs List and promised me that he could get at least $1'000 for my car. this is twice what I was asking. Thought about it for a moment, then found this site. thank you for beeing on the web! People like this are scum that should spend a very long time in jail! Do'nt fall for this scam!

I received a call this morning from "Jacob" about my vehicle listed on Craigslist.  I have stuff listed, but no vehicle.

Legit or not, it's apparent they're just harvesting phone numbers from Craiglist without actually reading the postings.  Not to mention I stated it was NOT OK to contact me with solicitations, etc.

They have many divisions, that explains why there are different numbers and company names... Do some research before calling it a fraud! I just spent 1 hour on it and it was interesting. My call : seems really fine. All you gotta do is respect the contract (provide a photo of your car) and you'll get refunded (minus 29.99$) if they don't sell your car.

I guess we are really in a "world of fear and terrorism". Although, i do agree that making sure of those companies is needed but it takes some time...

Anyway, if i can't sell my car in the next few weeks maybe i'll use their service. 1 advice : make some research before crapping your pants.

And no, i don't work for them, but i think people are too quick to judge or just too lazy to search.

I have received the same call within hours of posting my car for sale on craigslist... I called back and they wanted me to pay $199 to get matched with intersted buyers who would pay full price. I decided to look them up on the net, and found this website. Thank you, thank you, thank you, to everyone who posted on this website saved me a costly mistake!
