Recieved call at 5:30 in the morning.

I receive a call from this number today to - on cell phone - no name just number - left no message

I received a call from 866-504-4754 looking for the person who had my cell phone number previously.  I've had this number for about a month.  The female caller said that the person they were looking for was deceased and they were trying to locate whoever was handling the person's affairs.  After explaining to the caller that I did not know the decedent, she assured me my phone number would be removed from their records.  I waited a few minutes and called the 866 number.  I learned that the company is Phillips & Cohen, who specialize in debt recovery on deceased persons.  They have offices in NJ and DE.  I spoke with a supervisor named Bart who checked and told me my number had been removed for their system.

CALLS HOURS AFTER 6:30 AT NIGHT.  IT RINGS TWICE AND THEN SHUTS OFF.  NO MESSAGES ARE LEFT. WENT ON LINE AND FOUND OUT IT IS A DEBT COLLECTOR FOR DECEASED.  ARE FAMILIES NOT ALREADY GRIEVING AND IN STATES OF SHOCK WHEN A LOVED ONE DIES AND COMPANY LIKE THIS HAS NO COMPASSION AND ACTUALLY TRYING TO COLLECT FROM A DEAD PERSON.  UNBELIEVABLE..PLEASE HAVE THIS COMPANY CLOSED DOWN.

Received a call from this number at 6:25 PM on 10/26/10.  No message - just a note on my phone that this number had called.  Evidently did not hear it ring.

This number came up on my recent calls on my work cell phone, 6:55 pm on 11/8/10 I did not hear it ring & they left no message.  Don't  know who they would be calling about or how they got my work cell number.

The very same as Jude and others !  My son died over 3 yrs ago !!!!!!!!!

Receiving numerous calls from 866-504-4754. Messages left on voicemail state the calls are for the family handling a deceased person's affairs (of course, someone I have never heard of).  After looking this number up online I find they are making calls to everyone they could find.  How they got my number is puzzling as it is on the do-not-call-registry and is one I do not share with anyone other than family (not even friends--just family).   Hence, if a family member with whom I have shared this number has died, I am pretty certain I would know.  I will not waste my time returning their call as I'm certain they are scammers--especially after reading these other complaints.

Got another call from these people.  Still looking for information about my late ex.  I won't give them anything.  There are no matters to discuss about anything.  I asked to be taken off their call list and they said no.  These people are trouble.  Stay away from them.  They prey on the "relatives" of deceased people.  No regard to their time of grieving or anything.

Calling for deceased Ron Gish. He was never at my number (I've had since 1990) nor my address (since 1965). Lady was polite and said she would remove me from her list. Checked back 30 minutes later, asking for supervisor Bart (see Don 14 Sep 2010 above), who was out to lunch. His coworker listened to my report then transferred me back to the lady who originally called. She said she already removed me from her list, but couldn't tell me who Ron Gish was nor what the debt was for. Strange because I've had previous calls from others looking for Ron Gish.

I've gotten multiple calls (20-30) from Phillips & Cohen on behalf of my late husband's estate.  They don't give up even though they cannot attempt collection after a year has passed (it's been almost 2 years).  I've never taken their calls and do not know what they are calling about since everything has been settled on behalf of my husband.  They are prank callers and thieves, I would imagine.  Don't return calls, don't engage in conversation, just report them.

They are doing the same thing to me i said they were and scam and got angry on the phone.He rasied his voice back at me (a sign they are not real) Called three times in march

my husband passed away last year and i have been having many calls from this number; in the beginning every day and now at least once a week; i dont answer them, heard its a scam; very, very annoying and frustrating, especially since my husband died very suddenly at a relatively young age, don't need this hassle

This number called me and hung up when as answered "what?"

This number keeps calling me regarding my stepdaughters dead husband.  She has not contacted me in 20 years.  Couldn't tell them anything even if I wanted to.  Today she said they would remove my number from their list, remains to be seen.  They have been calling once every other week for over a month now.

I have had calls from this number regarding the estate of someone I have never heard of.  I have not responded to their voicemails.

We are ib the do not call list and yet get calls from this #.  We did not answer it...get these toll free calls all the time.  Irratating.

Debt Collector, Phillips and Cohen

I spoke with Keisha who transferred me to their Florida office where I spoke to a young girl who immediately asked me for my social security number.  I said I'm not giving that information and she was extremely rude.  I hung up.

Got a call yesterday and a message on the machine stating they were looking for responsible party to collect debt on my father-on-law who passed away almost 16 years ago.  And had no debt when he passed. Not sure how they found us since we have lived in several different places since he passed but strange that they did mention his name.  I believe it is a scam.

They just called me last night...haven't called them back don't know if it's for me or someone else...what should i do?? any suggestions?
