RECEIVE CONSTANT CALLS FROM 866-504-4754..TRYING TO COLLECT A DEBT OF A PERSON WHO PASSED AWAY...I HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH THIS ESTATE..I AM ON A NO CALL LIST AND THEY STILL CALL AT ODD HOURS LIKE 7 AM IN THE MORNING AND NOW ARE LEAVING MESSAGES....I DO NOT TALK TO THEM AND RETURN NO CALLS...THIS SHOULD BE STOPPED IMMEDIATELY ....IT SHOWS ON CALLER ID AS A TOLL FREE CALL.....THEY ARE VULCHERS IS ALL ..PESTERING FOLKS WHO DON'T KNOW WHO THEY ARE TALKING ABOUT.....THIS SHOULD BE STOPPED!!!!

Called a 6 pm in Orlando.  My dad died 4 months ago, I don't want to talk to these people. Let it ring, but they would not leave message.  I am registered with DO NOT CALL.

They keep calling and calling - no messages.  They should be reported to the authorities.

My mother died 9 years ago. They call at least onece a week. I believe they bought my moms debt for pennies on the dollar and are now trying to find someone in my family who feels compelled to pay it. Not going to happen.

I totally agree! My father passed in march and they have called nonstop every day since then and will not quit!! Im the daughter and they want me to pay his bill!! This is outrageous!! I tell them not to call and they disregard my pleads! They call 5 times a day and on weekend. up to 9 at night! Im gonna report them to BBB cuz Ive had enough! Im still grieving over my loss and they are making it worse!!

I have been getting calls from this number regarding people I have neither seen nor heard from in 30 years.  They say they are looking for payment of debts.  It's ridiculous and I don't answer my phone.  Please make them stop.

these people are as sick as the ones who hired them to collect the debt, Debt collectors of the deceased, started calling before my mothers funeral..demanding I pay her debts

Called my cell at 8:15 am no message.

Called at 8:40 am rung twice I answered they hung up

Called back and they are a debt collector for deceased

I'm on a do not call list and they called before 9 a m
talked to Teresa said my # did not show in their collections


And rudely informed me they can call as early as 8 am

I work at a bank, so luckily I can get a feel for a scam (or "phishing") phone call. A lady called saying we have a mutual customer who made a payment this morning by phone, and she (the lady on the phone) believes that she (the customer) gave too many numbers for her account number. She wanted to verify the bank account number to make sure it was correct. I told her "Well, I can tell you that all our accounts are 10 digits long." She replied "Yeah, this one is 14." Since I didn't feel comfortable giving a 3rd party (and after reading these posts, an obvious scammer) any account info, I transferred her to our automated verification line.

Do not give them info! Whether it be your own or for another!

These [***] have no heart or soul. They started calling me 2 weeks after my brother was killed tragically in a car accident.  What makes matters worse is that I lost my mom 8 months before my brother!  My whole family is devastated between both deaths that we had suffered in less than a year and these f*****rs have the balls calling looking for money that my brother owed.  I have not picked up the calls, I checked this site to see who the number belonged too and couldn't believe they are calling looking to collect debts on the deceased.  I know my brother owed creditors and I hope they never see a dime!!!  I have since put this number on my phone block.  They are truly pieces of [***]!!!!

Yes, they are. They began calling months ago and only a few weeks after a member of my immediate family died. His/her spouse mailed a letter informing them the deceased had no estate and she/he is not legally responsible for the alleged debts as we live in a non-community property law state. Despite this, they
continue to call and call---and call.

There is no rest for the weary--or the dead.

I'm getting harrasing calls from these scumbags. I filed an FCC complaint and a NJ PUC complaint on them. Any time you get a harrassing phone call, use *57 to perform a trace run and flag the call. You can then call your local police or area attourney's office to begin the legal process of filing a harrassment suit against the company.

Received a call from 800-504-4754 after receiving another from the 866-504-4754 number. Same company?

These people call 3 to 6 times a day!! My husband has passed with no insurance, was disabled. NO ESTATE
Wish there was a way to stop them from the harshment??

There is--

Send them a letter VIA certified mail with return receipt requested informing them that your husband died with no estate, you are not legally responsible for his debts (UNLESS you live in Arizona, California, Idaho, Louisiana, Nevada, New Mexico, Texas, Washington and Wisconsin) and they are to cease calling.

Phillips and Cohen don't keep records either.  They keep calling to get information I have alreday given them.

Report these people to the FCC and also the do not call registry. I have also filed complaints with our state attorney general. The office of the attorney general for you state should handle it, ours did, the office also notified us about how it was handled.

Do not pay them anything, more than likely it is a scam. Be careful.

So Sorry for you loss. Having a parent pass away is very had, my deepest sympathy.
