This is the second call in 2 minutes from debt collectors trying to collect from a deceased family member.  What scum ! ! ! !
Let the deceased rest in peace and the families get their bearings.  I just don't answer calls if I don't know who it is! ! ! !

I got a phone call from this number today and he want me to tell him what is my name and last name and i told him call my lawyer and i gave him my lawyer number and he hang up

These same creeps have been calling for months harassing my mom and I since my dad died in July of 2015.

You have the information you need now to stop the calls.  For less than $7.00 you can send them that letter.  You can report them for free.  If they continue to call, then you sue them and make them pay you a lot more money than they are trying to collect.

Called looking for the executive or person responsible for paying the bills of a deceased person. What do they do, call everyone they can find with the same last name as the deceased person. Even if I knew the person, I will not give out any information.

Called at eight am picture on block call had picture of asian man with two little children standing by him. Of course left no message.  Big scum bag  no better than a worm you fish with. Name on block was H dc Sears Mc. Really  Blocked  that number.

Same bottomfeeders called from another number. They never leave a message.

I didn't answer.  Caller left no vm.  I'm in GA.

Just got a call from this number.  My mother passed away only a month ago - the calls started as soon as 2 weeks after her death, assuring me that they don't expect me to pay out of my pocket, only out of the estate.  When I informed them there IS no estate to speak of - only her very low-value home, then they ask if I want to set up a payment arrangment.  I asked them "From WHAT?  I just told you the estate is empty! No cash to give!"  They said I'd keep getting calls and letters.

Not sure what the hell they want - blood from a stone?  There's nothing to get here - no money.  We kids had to pay Mom's funeral expenses and the house was built in the 1940's, is extremely small and has mold issues - and now Medicaid wants THAT - so not sure what they think they're going to get.

Calls several times a month
never leaves message.  Have it blocked so at least it doesn't ring.

They left a voice mail: "Hello this call is from XXX XXX of Phillips & Cohen Associates. This is a call from a debt collector. This is an attempt to collect a debt and the information obtained will be used for that purpose. Please return this call to our toll free number at 1 866 321 2195 Extension XXXX. Please provide reference number XXXXXXXX. Thank you."

So I called 1-866-321-2195, pushed the extension, and gave the reference number. They were looking for a person who was the former owner of my phone number. As soon as I tell them I don't know them at all, they promised that they will remove my number from their list.

Don't hold your breath on them not calling you back and not removing your number.

They called at 9:00 this evening. They're debt collectors. My wife passed away after a 28 month battle with cancer, and they think there will be assets? Don't know what they're smoking.

This is one of those SCAM calls, they are trying to get you to say YES, so they can drain your accounts

This is a SCAM call trying to dupe you in to saying YES while they record your voice to use to steal your bank account ETC. !

I do not answer out of state calls.  I just now got this on my cell phone. My mother in law died in November 2016 so I imagine that they are trying to collect on a debt that we are not responsible for.
