we are just calling you to help you improve your life by going to school, its a free service and its just to help get a better job

sorry but that was not us that called you the second time, we dont offer anything about debt or anything like that

I recieved a call, looked em up on this website, called em back and told them i wanted my number taken off their phone list...so they said 24 to 48 hours (said their name was career adviser)

Helping people, nothing....Like helping people sign up for the long distance they really need, or helping people buy the "Must have" Avon products. It's nothing more than telemarketing. Here is an idea, help yourself get an education so you don't have to cold call people. I have contacted the Attorney General for the state of Missouri and the FTC in order to get this resolved. I advise others to do the same. If there are enough complaints, maybe they will stop "Helping People."

The number appeared in my "missed call" log.

I didn't "give" out my number to anyone on the net, so I'd like to know how your company got an unlisted number that isn't even on my resume(s).

It shouldn't take them 28 - 48 hours to remove a number they shouldn't have in the first place.
I bet they asked you to verify your number too and said they needed it to "verify" who they were removing?
At that point and time they should have said they cleared your number from their data base, but the removal of your number from their nation wide data base "might" take 24 - 48 hours as they need their programmer to remove it from the internal data base system.

Company Representative want to argue my reply to this person's comment?

We receive daily calls from this number. We report these harassing calls...
Why isn't something being done?? I have the number blocked but still call.

The phone number 866-539-4654 that has a hugh amount of people complaining about is Career Advisor.  The parent company is Plattform Advertising.  The CEO is Michael Platt.  His e-mail is [removed:see notes below].

the reason it takes 24-48 hours to get you removed from the list is because we have to write your number down on a sheet and then turn those in at the end of the day, and at that time they are removed from our calling list. foo!

This is from career advisors. They will call everyday even if you doo tell them to stop.

I could tell on the ad they had on careerbuilder was a scam. They tried calling my cellular phone quite simple to ignore them as if a telemarketer TRYING to get though.

calls 2-4 times a day over the past 11 days. No message

First time i received calls from this number too... so now i know who they are and what to do!!! GRRRRRRR.

We've been getting calls from masked numbers for several days (1, 11208, 1204, etc.). They always ask for my son, who goes to school all day and works until late at night. When I tell them that he isn't home, they sometimes hang up without any follow-through. Tonight, I told the operator that he could either leave a message with me or expect me to report the calls as abusive. The operator (Samuel) was courteous enough, but didn't really seem to have a good idea of what exactly the business did. Maybe he was surprised to actually have someone treat him with dignity. He left the above number, the company name (Career Advisor), and told me that my son had apparently left the phone number on one of their web advertisements. They offer 'free' career training advise. I'm assuming they must refer the customer to participating trade schools.

They had the nerve to call me at 900 pm and not leave a message.

This # has called twice today, when I answer, they hang up.  Tried calling back, the number cannot be dialed.

this is the same  phone number that will not stop calling my cell phone; I've had it!! Its borderline harrassment and they ought to have their phone disconnected, its ridiculous. My own children don't call me this much!!

I get a call from these guys about 11 times a day. When i answer they just hang up right away.
