Wal-Mart Pharmacy Reminder very nice service. But, they always leave me a message

CrudBuster I suggest you check your facts.  This is Walmart's automated prescription pickup reminder service.  I know this for a fact.  They just called me.  And yes I did have a prescription ordered.

The postings here are NOT phony.  Stop being such a paranoid [***] and answer your frigging phone once in a while.

Chamber, maybe you can explain why, since we don't use Wallyworld's prescription service, would they be calling us. We switched To Sam's Club some time ago. Cheaper and faster.

If you don't want them calling your cell # take it off your records.....

This number is from Sam's Club pharmacy, not Walmart.  I just filled a script there and they call with an automated msg letting you know its ready & the price.

So how did Walmart know to call me when I never gave them the number that they called??? They called a relative's house. I was at home but never received a call. I never even gave them my relative's address or phone number. Nor did my relative pass on any information, relating to me in any way.

Don't blame this on a cell-phone number as neither my relative nor I have a cell phone. Nor do we want one as we make so very very few calls and are at home the vast majority of the time.

The Walmart computer announced that "Someone at this address has a prescription ready," and gave a price of $36.04. I called Walmart about the price and was told that my medicine was $10. They had no idea where the "$36.04" came from or how an erroneous number was dialed. They have no link to my relative's number and mine or our addresses.

Katz, Joe and JB: you are all right. The prescription service call seems to be for both Sam's Club (Sam Walton) and Wal-mart (Walton Mart). It would save them money to have one central calling service at least for both pharmacies. I just received a reminder call for a prescription I left at Wal-mart (this time). This Wal-mart is the most convenient for me. I do go to Sam's Club to get my gasoline about once a week. They do leave me a message about why they were calling if I do not answer soon enough. As a senior citizen I appreciate the service because sometimes I have trouble getting to the phone soon enough.
If anyone at Walton's are reading these messages, I would suggest that they provide some name (Pharmacy?) with the call so they can be identified sooner with caller ID.

This was a message from Sam's Club Pharmacy that my prescription was ready to be picked up.    It is the first time I have used this Pharmacy.

Yep it's walmart pharmacy, got google voice and they transcribe messages.

You said everything I would have said... except nicer :)  Some people are so paranoid.

I can't get off, they keep calling even when I opt out uggggg

This is indeed Walmart Pharmacy, they called me today for a prescription which I had left yesterday and signed up for them to call me when it was ready.

Still receiving calls from this number... who are they associated with so I can be sure not to click/visit anything online involving them

I believe this number has been given to Walmart as well as to me.  All calls from this number come to my cell number.  I  want the calls from Walmart Pharmacy to stop and I want my cell phone number to be removed as the forwarding number for this voice mail.  If I have a different google number, please send it to me so that I know my real number.  All along I thought this number was my google voice number.

They called me, but did not leave a message.   This is the first time and I did not know who was calling.

There are 5 Walmart Pharmacies and 2 Sam's Club Pharmacies in my town. I drive past 2 of them on my way home daily. Why do they not identify which one they are in their message? This could be at any Walmart of Sam's Club in the world. If this is a "Great System" as some posters say, it is very poorly implemented.

Whether or not it is Walmart Pharmacy, I do not have any pending prescriptions.  They apparently need to make sure their database is up to date so they are not calling random people letting them know that other peoples prescriptions are ready!!
