- MzNae| 17 repliesNational Credit Works, according to my research, was using another address and phone...bouncing around or so to speak. Keep this in mind, according to the Statutes of Limitations, it is likely that if you've had payday loans beyond 2005, it's likely that the Statutes of Limitations have expired, meaning they are time barred and have become junk debts which are technically no good. If someone can clarify this or correct me, I'd appreciate it, but from what I've read these collection agencies have purchased them for pennies on the dollar and are trying to get money out of you. Chances are if you pay them, the original company may not see a dime, therefore if you want to payoff any old payday loans, go to the original source. If you want to pay off any old accounts, go to the original, they will tell you what to do to take care of it.
I am filing a claim with my state's attorney general because National Credit Works has found a way to go through family members and this should be against the law. They call and call, and often don't leave a message, then when they do call it's "about a very important business matter." They are calling on expired debts and should be made to be stopped. Now, I am one who will own up to a debt, but there should be a limit to what collection agencies are allowed to do and what methods they are allowed to use.- Caller: National Credit Works (NCW)

- TrishThey DO NOT have the right contact family members, neighbors, etc. NOBODY has that right. They are a scam outfit!
- GianSomeone named Mr. Andino from National Credit Works sent a fax to my employer asking for my employment information. I called them and ask that not contact my employer. They then said they had been trying to contact me, but i have never received anything from them, that i am aware. After I called and asked them not contacted my employer again, they immediately called my supervisor and told him that I better called them back or they will have me served with a subpoena at work! I then called them back to let them know i am aware of my rights and they are not allowed to contact my employer to discuss my debts. The guy got angry and hung up on me!! I will be sending them a cease and desist letter by ceritfied mail tomorrow.

- Sara| 2 repliesSherri Martinez from NCW began calling me from a Texas telephone number. 832 384 9150 stating she was calling to collect a debt. She threatened me with legal action if debt was not paid. Stated that they could settle with me in the amount of 1400 for a debt that i had never even heard of, and even now do not remember. Being naieve I went along with this, and gave my debit card number. STUPID I know but I was afraid and unaware of my rights. After the first debit came out of my account in the amount of 50 dollars from someplace in Cheekatowaga, NY I began to become skeptical. IN the last 24 hours I have filed a complaint with the FTC, the BBB, and have FINALLY found NCW online. In my online banking register it appeared as NCW Billing Services and it took nearly a day of dilligent searching to discover who this scum operation really is. It should be also noted that the 832 number I was called from originally is NOW OUT OF ORDER! If anyone has any information on this company and how to really stick it to them please email me at thisdesertlife24@yahoo.com. I have since canceled my debit card, changed my banking information and can only hope and pray that they can't contact me again. Also if anyone knows the statute of limitations in Indiana I would appreciate it. Thanx!@

They are getting suit about ones per month - Jen| 2 repliesSky, do NOT let these scammers intimidate you! Next time they call, inform them that if they do not stop, they WILL be sued by YOU. Whether you intend to or not, it doesn't matter. The calls WILL cease when they realize they are not "getting" to you anymore and they realize they are wasting their time pursuing this now defunct debt. If they verbally abuse you, verbally abuse them right back! They are NOBODY, except for a group of money grubbing scumbags, and tell them you KNOW IT, and that you are NOT going to send them any money no matter what legal crap they spew at you. Most of all, do NOT let them worry you or get in your head! If anything, have fun abusing them, messing with them....just NEVER acknowledge the debt, and it won't open anything back up...I've burped in the phone at them, spoke gibberish, screamed at the top of my lungs right in the phone and hung up...you get the picture. A great way to relieve stress AND get back at them! :-)
- Screwed replies to JDDo not send these people money. They called me the day of my fathers funeral claiming I had borrowed money from a check cashing place and that I didn't pay it back. They had my social but that was the only correct info they had, and I have never borrowed mony from a check cashing place.
- what the hecki got a phone call from a lady telling me this is for something im already pay a lawyer for no sorry not play that game at all......

- stop callingthis people call me and tell me that i have outstanding bill with them which i dont, and i kno this for a fact cause im paying a lawyer and they havent saind nothing to me.....
- Onegirl2mindsA Mr. Andino has been calling me at work and even discussed the debt with my boss and another employee! He then phoned my mother and did the same thing. I called back and let him know his actions are against the law. Also I will be sending them a validation request by certified mail to see if they can verify I owe them. One thing you may want to do it check the statute of limitations on the debt to see if they can still legally collect on the debt. Each state has limits on the number of years a debt is still valid, and some bill collectors try to collect on these "zombie debts". Usually, the bill collectors that have invalid debt claimns, try to use strong arm tactics to get you to pay because they know if you check into it, you will discover that they have no basis for their claim.

- LAF replies to kc| 10 repliesi have had very good reviews from NCW... they have helped me greatly by settling out my account and giving me a letter of settlement to place with the major credit agencies... they were right those of u who make up excuses in reguards to ur account were just trying to get away with free stuff.. grow up and learn the meaning of responsibilities
- collectors-r-criminals replies to LAF| 5 repliesIf even one thing you wrote were true, you would have no reason to even post this here, much less look up the number.
But, as one of many incompetent fake collectors trying to collect fake debt on this site, you don't even know what the truth is anymore.
SCAM SCAM SCAM.
I was going to say "nice try" but that wouldn't be true either. - LAF replies to collectors-r-criminals| 4 repliesfor ur information.. i looked up the number prior to calling the agency... and afterwards when i settled my account with NCW I thought it necessary to tell those of you who are not responsible enough to pay ur debt that this is a legitimate company and that they really do know what they r doing-- and if u had paid ur debt u would know that---especially if u paid by check because the information for the company is on ur statement!--- so again to those of u who r just childish Grow Up and Pay ur Bills-- ur half the reason our country is in so much debt-- because they loan money to people who have no intentions of paying it back and then those of us who do pay our debts get screwed---and those of u who dont pay ur debt u know who u r!

- HammerheadHere's what I've got so far:
National Credit Works, Inc.
1530 Military Rd.
Kenmore, NY 14217-1224
Tel: (716) 877-3540
I got the location info off the web, checked it out on a reverse tel. # look-up site. It's registered to a "Blue Summit Music" & is no longer in service. NY business directories DO list National Credit Works, Inc. Curious.

National Credit Works
3719 Union Rd
Cheektowaga, NY 14225
Tel:(716) 684-8183
This tel #, when called, was answered by something calling itself National Credit Works (no "Inc."). The strange thing is, when I looked up National Credit Works in a NY business directory, I was led to National Credit Works, Inc., as the entity calling itself National Credit Works didn't exist in the directory. Curious.
So, National Credit Works, Inc. IS in the books, it's address is the "Blue Summit Music" store and the phone is disconnected.
National Credit Works ISN'T in the books, but does have a working phone. Curiouser & curiouser!
On to the "Insurance & Licensing" Div. in NY State.
