Also received the letter.  And Security company ads.  And mortgage insurance ads.  Funny thing is my county's real estate website hasn't listed me as the new owner yet.  I don't know where they got my name.

“We have been trying to reach you regarding a matter of importance as it relates to your mortgage. Please call (866)663-7459.” Yes, this is obviously a scam.

I just got one today.  All the same info as listed above.  I didn't call, definitely a scam.

I got the same letter:  I got a letter saying "We have been trying to reach you regarding a matter of importance as it relates to your mortgage.  Please call  (866) 663-7459.

We are not responding.  Just refinanced for a lower interest rate.  The first payment is not even due until August and we've been FLOODED with this type of junk mail.   Unreal!!

Received this letter today. We closed 3 weeks ago and the County hasn't even listed us the owners yet. Has their address on the envelope then 'Re: (our mortgage company)' below that. Glad I could pull them up here by address :-)

Unknown if they called because I have my phone set to block unknown and private callers and any toll free number I don't have in my contacts.

Got the same perforated envelope (from) claiming US BANK NA was trying to contact me, etc.-we too had just opened a HELOC

This appears to be a total misrepresentation from the sender. While they never legally say they are from your mortgage company, they appear to want you to believe they are. Right in the shredder! They do not identify themselves, except providing a return address and Re: **Your mortgage company**.

received the same letter as Julia after refinancing my home saying as it relates to my mortgage

I have received several mailings from this company after purchasing my home, then they sent mail with my mortgage company listed. Little do they know, I work for the mortgage company and would never fall for this type of scam. The other mailings were regarding purchasing my deed & mortgage docs. Total scam. I don't need to call the # - it is not my lender.

I received the same mail piece the number was different (615) 800-7010.

This is the second mailing I have received with this contact number.  Both went in trash.  This is a scam.

I received this letter over the weekend stating exactly what everyone prior to this post is saying so the jerks are still at it! I'm glad I checked the number because I had a pit in my stomach and thought it was legit and something was wrong with my new mortgage.

When you have lien filed against your property the record includes the lien holder along with your name and the address of the property and the amount of the original lien.  They comb for this info then try to sell to you.  These people do it in a less than honest way - they included my lien holder as the return address name.

"We have been trying to reach you regarding a matter of importance as it relates to your mortgage.  Please call (866) 663-7459.  Thank you, The Mortgage Service Center."  I called the number on the letter and entered the Mortgage ID# presented and it said the number was invalid.  Not sure how this letter or phone number accomplishes anything fraudulent.
