Same as other o posters. I did just get a mortgage but name was spelled wrong and the closing date was wrong on this “official letter” I did not call.

I got the same letter in the mail about 10 times, scam. Always call your lending company and ask them, theyll know if it's real if you're ever in doubt!

I have received 3 of these types of letters. The letter insinuates it is insurance. Return address is a PO Box 2310 in Forest VA 24551.

Recently refi & got this in mail. Scam city. Did not call & threw in trash.

I got the same letter asking me to call 866-663-7459. At the bottom it says, "For more information, contact Equis Financial, Inc at 828-299-9600". A quick search on that number shows 828-299-9600 does indeed belong to a real insurance company called Equis Financial, Inc. It's not really a scam. It's just an insurance company cold calling you. All you have to do is ignore them, like you usually do with all 866 numbers. They did not call me, hence no DNC violation.

We also received this letter. It seems scam

I received a letter that read:  "We have been trying to reach you regarding a matter of importance as it relates to your mortgage.  Please call (866) 663-7459.  Thank you, The Mortgage Service Center".  I did call and tried to enter the Mortgage ID and they said it did not exist.  I hope they didn't get what they needed by my calling.  I reported this to Quicken Loans.

Got the same letter with all the correct info. Thanks for the posts to let me know I can ignore.

Received "official looking" document from supposed mortgage company after recent refi, stating "We have been trying to reach you regarding a matter of importance as it relates to your mortgage.  Please call 866-663-7459.  Thank you, The Mortgage Service Center".  SCAM!!!  This was not from the mortgage company!  Return address was P.O. Box in Jacksonville, FL 32245

Letter received from PO Box 2310 Forest VA. 24551. The form letter states they have been trying to reach you re protecting your mortgage asking you to return their call at 866-663-7459. It is signed The Mortgage Service Center. Suspect a scam as they do not tell you the true name of their company.

I did not receive a call from this number, (866-663-7459), but received "important looking" mail asking me to call this number.  "We have been trying to reach you regarding a matter of importance as it related to your mortgage.  Please call (866) 663-7459.  Thank you.  The Mortgage Service Center"  Return address:  PO Box 54515, Jacksonville, FL 32245.  Mailed from Zip Code 32216.  Permit No. 584.   I called... It is a scam. They want to sell you some kind of mortgage insurance, and start asking all kinds of questions about your health.

Got a letter, looked official regarding my recently completed mortgage, sent to the real lender. and the title company which happens to be my trusted legal attorney as well.  Lets see how this plays.
