Your mortgage is filed with the county and becomes a public document.  They get all their information from the legal filing.  Your bank didn't sell your info in this case.

USPS mailing saying they have been trying to contact me. Mail piece deliberately looks like a check. Called the number. Was an attempt to sell you mortgage loan insurance. I hung up when the recording asked for my phone #. If it was legit, they’d already have my phone #.

TOTAL SCAM. DO NOT CALL THEM. THE ARE DATA COLLECTION. They are in no way related to your mortgage.

Received the same mailing as the ones back in 2017. Ridiculous that it's STILL happening now in 2021!!  TOTAL NONSENSE  It's a bait and switch situation as it has NOTHING to do with your lender. They are SELLING INSURANCE

Called and received fake mail as other have posted about.

Received letter "We have been trying to reach you regarding a matter of importance as it relates to your mortgage.  Please call  (866) 663-7459."

I received an letter identical to all the other reports with the same 866 number.  I fed it to
my shredder.

This number 866-663-7459 sent a letter stating that they were a mortgage company and to call them alone and put an ID on the letter.

This info is likely not from your bank, but from your county auditor/recorder, which keeps track of such things.

Exactly the same as above posts.  These public nuisances should be shut down.  Relates to a re-fi.
