Federal law (FDCPA) requires them to send you a letter within 5 days of their first contact that contains their name, physical address, the creditor’s name, and the amount of the alleged debt.  It also must contains “mini-miranda” telling you that it is an attempt to collect a debt and that all information will be used for those purposes.  The one other important thing that this letter must also have in it is that you have a right to dispute the debt within 30 days of the date of the letter and if you do so, all collection activity must be stopped until the debt is verified.

Also file a complaint with your State Attorney General's office.

So... Just received a call from this company... Well, let's correct that my husband and I simultaneously received calls from this number. Here's the catch... We don't have any debt together as we've been married for just over a year and everything we own was prior to getting married. His phone number isn't associated with any of my prior accounts and vise versa. My husband answered and no one responded. So... How did we both get a call at the same time???

This is a bogus debt collector. I am reporting this so they can be prosecuted.

They call 20+ times a day every day for over a year. Ask my phone number. Then my name. Then I am told I am not who they are looking for and they will remove my number from their list. 10 minutes later, they are calling again. None of the callers have ever given me their name....even when asked for it. I'm just told it's an attempt to collect a debt.

Have received calls, called back would not inform me who they where trying to contact, ask me who I was. I said I could not inform them who I was and asked to be removed from their call list. Still getting calls.

Just received a call from this number. Tried to redial to find out what it was about. By reading these I see mostly over car loan repos, but I have never had a car loan.
They better not call again, because I don't owe anyone for anything like that! They will be sorely mistaken when they get ahold of this momma bear & her temper!

Received on my cell phone (!?) Sunday morning, so no Caller ID Name.  However a recorded message was left in my voicemail identifying the caller as Focus Receivables Management, and saying that "the law requires that we notify you that this call is from a debt collector and the purpose of the call is for debt collection."  Well.  Thank-you very much.  Needless to say this number is now blocked.  Please see earlier posts that identify other numbers this debt collector may call from.

Focus Receivables is an equal opportunity bunch of criminal debt collectors.  They will try to collect on anything, even when you don't owe it.  The information you need is right above your post.  A certified cease and desist letter or validation of debt letter should suffice.  If they continue to call, then be prepared to get a consumer lawyer to sue them.  I can assure you that any verbal warnings or barrages will not phase these cretins one little bit.

I received a call from that number today stating a case number, threatened legal action if I did not pay, which I didn't. Was supposed to get served today but nothing yet. Even called my daughter today too. Stated his name was Eric Moore. Anyone heard from him ?

Receiving calls about a pay day loan I supposedly took out with Mesa financia back in 2011. Never took out a loan with them. Stated his name was Eric Moore. He  states he is a locator. Threatened legal action if I did not pay today. Had a lot of my personal info. Even called my daughter !

Received phone calls at home, work, cell, and my sister was also called.  I spoke to Moses and to Charlie Mason among others.  I have repeatedly called them back and they said they will no longer speak to me because I said I was getting a lawyer.  They said that if I continued to call, they would file a harassment charge against me (lol).  Typically, legal and court proceedings are not handled over the phone.  They said that the name of their company is Coastal in Atlanta, GA and that I owe money to a company MAC Development.  Neither of these companies has any info on the internet.

I urge you to report to the police with as much info as you can, I am filing a police report.  I had this happen to me several years ago, same thing.

Last week and today I received an auto dialer, recorded message phone call.  I pressed 1 as directed and was connected to a male who was pleasant.  He asked me my name and at first I refused to give it to him.  I told him your company called me so therefore he must know my name.  I explained that I was concerned about identity theft and finally he connected me to someone else.  Another male tried to get me to verify my name and at first I refused and he responded with "you called us."  I told him I wasn't going to give him any more information.  He finally told me the debt they were trying to collect was to "TD Auto."  I told him, I have never done business with TD auto and he said he will remove my telephone number from their system.

They keep calling my phone leaving messages. Threatening legal action. The thing is None of the people I deal with for bills or loans have my home phone I always give my cell so I know this is not for me but when you tell the idiots not to call they keep calling.  smh... It does say something about focus receivable management.

What's interesting, it calls my google voice number that I just set up. Also, they have called my husband on his cell once. We don't owe anyone anything, so I've ignored it. I get a lot of strange calls on my Google voice number, so I screen them out because they are an unknown caller

Please read my posts above and file reports that the agencies I have provided links to.  These criminals violate the law and the more reports that are made the more chance there is of them getting spanked by the CFPB and attorney general's.

this number calls often but reads unavailable. I do not answer calls from someone I do not know and especially when they say unavailable. No msg left

These people called 5 times yesterday. They called at 9:45 this morning. Now, I'll wait to see how many more calls I get today. I finally blocked the number. if I get more than three more calls today,  I'm calling the Sheriff AND the Federal Consumer Protection Agency!
