Left message "Focus Collectors attempting to collect debt" 7 p.m. 8 Sept 2016.  Have been receiving numerous such calls for several months from various callers including Regants bank (not the real Regions bank).  This call motivated me to obtain my free annual credit report. Naturally it reveals no pass due activity or anyone checking credit history accept customary annual checks by Capital One.my  A quick free credit report provides peace of mind.   When I worked credit it was always paper inquires followed by a phone call prior to referring account to collector. Make sense doing it that way because collectors charge 30, 40, 50 percent of balance due. You will find most businesses would prefer to offer a discount of 10 to 20 percent if you pay today rather than pay a collection agency. Yeah, I was going through my old voicemails and these silly morons called me three years ago.  I ignored it.  They're a truck full of manure, if you don't have debt, don't waste one second thinking about these scamming idiots.

My call was from 800-268-3486 Ext 3070, Vernon Jones.
I do owe a debt but It was like pulling teeth to get any information from him on why he was calling.
He asked for my phone number (He just called it), State, address etc. I would not give him the information so he refused to divulge why he was calling.
I Googled his name and Focus Receivables came up.. So I asked what city and state he was from. He said was in Atlanta Georgia (BBB list Marietta)
I finally stated, If I am in debt to you you can disclose the amount owed and the original creditor via USPS to the address you supposedly want me to verify and I may respond...and Please Do Not Call This Number again!!

Harassing calls several times daily and requested to call back 866-664-2512 to take care of debts

It is Focus debt recovery folks.  They appear to be a legit company who bought old debts from another company in hopes of getting some restitution.  My interaction with them was favorable and polite.

I received a call from this agency. They are a debt collector. They were looking for my ex-stepson who is famous for running up bills and never paying them. I made sure they knew that I have no contact with him and do not want them to ever call me again. I blocked the number just in case they do try again.

Since this is a criminal enterprise well known for making stuff up I doubt that your stepson actually owes any money and I doubt that they will stop calling.  They will simply use other numbers that they have spoofed.

(866) 664-2512 "Sequium" called for the second time today. Previous call (949) 577-6970 Sequium at 09:29 AM. I don't owe ANY money and don't feel intimidated by fraudulent scammers. Sad scheme from criminals wasting their time.
