I think it is a collection agency.

Received a call stating they were calling from QAR and that myself or my attorney can call them back. Acting like they are a law office. Kept referring to it as a case number. Anyone know if they are law office or collection agency?

collection agency .. i called the number back and its for a loan i got awhile back and didnt pay . he says and officer but its just an officer for the company they work for ..

Recieved a call about an old Cash Advance loan .... sounds legit ...but still very skeptical ...the loan in reference .. does not seem to show up on my credit report ...and they say the website is www.QAR-Inc.com   ... Site seems very vague and cannot find the company in ANY search engine... Has anyone else dealt with these guys?

got same call....just seemed odd. not sure if its legit. he did call someone else looking for me and told them i wrote a bad check. isnt that against privacy laws?...would think they would know that since he claimed to be/work for a lawyer

Got a similiar call too. Stating they were with QAR that someone had filed a formal complaint against me. Didn't sound right since I'm in the military and my commander didnt receive any calls about me. Any way this sounds like a scam or credit agency.

I have been checking these people out.  The claim my brother took out a loan in Pennsyvania last year. We live in California, have never lived or been to Pennsyvania.  The told my brother he had three days to pay this debt or it was possible that the police in Pennsyvania would come to California and arrest him. RIGHT!

There is something very shady about this operation.  The Better Business Bureau has no license on file for this company, however there have been numerous complaints concerning them.

I received a call from QAR LLC, and they left me a message saying that it was URGENT that I call them back with my case number. The number they gave me was 1-866-778-0624, and the person calling was a Mr. Solerno, and I saw his name somewhere else on this site.

I called and he gave me the "pay now and avoid court fees" speech, and asked me if I wanted to pay now, and talk to someone else. I asked if I could call back as I was busy and he said "I can't control what will happen when I hang up the phone" so I said I was busy and had to call back and he just hung up on me.

I then called another agency called River Walk who sold my account to QAR, and when I told them they sold my account to criminals, they hung up on me too.

I do owe this debt, but I am NOT paying anything to these people, so now I'll have to figure out a way to get this off of my credit report one day.

Also, Mr. Solerno gave me my credit score, and said it may be off by 1 or 2 points....he was off by 300! I told him this and he made up some excuse then went right to the "pay now or else" stuff.

I'm glad I did a search for "QAR threat calls" or I would have thought I was going to jail or something.

Annoying

I too received a call today that was left on my voice mail. He said his name was Mr. Miller and that a complaint of fraud had been filed against me and that it was urgent for me to return his call  ( 866-778-0624 )no later then 9pm or else he would hand over the fraud complaint to my the authorities in my State. I got the message at 10pm and freaked. I am a stay at home mom to 5 y/o triplet daughters and could not understand who would do this to me. I am so angry now that I did call them back and lft a message with both my home and cell number as I thought this was a actual fraud claim. Maybe I should file a fraud charge against them for claiming to be something they are not. So thankful to have found this thread, now I can go to sleep peacfully.

I just got a call from this person -- sounds like I probably shouldn't even bother to call them back if they are this shady.

Read this site immediately about these people calling from this number! Quadrant Group QAR is a SCAM and cannot garnish your wages, get the cops after you etc.

Hi I am so hppy to find this site I have been so stressed out about this call and my numbers had been coming from the same number and his name was mr Miller and the other name.. He told me I was goi ng to be served with court papers for a credit card I owe , He wanted me to pay a lump sum and I said I can only pay a certain amount i just felt something is not right bc he said a month ago he was going to turn it over to the court then he calls me agian.....I feel so much better now thank god for this post

I keep getting calls and the number they leave for me to call back is 218-667-7806-24 well that's just to many digits for us numbers, he states I need to call or have my attorney call and leaves me a reference number and nothing else.
I did receive a fax from this company stating they are out of NY and wants all my income, emplyment info, etc... I am not sure what this is either and cannot call back as the number they leave does not work.

Mr. Sargent Asked me or my Lawyer to call him back in the next 24 to 48hrs. Everyone should report them to the Better Business Bureau for deceitful practices. I does not matter if you have a legit debt or not, they cannot harrass you.

I too have been receiving phone calls from QAR LLC but have not spoken to anybody as I did some research on them as well. They claimed that paperwork was being drawn up and will send to my place of employment which is iilegal by the fed law.They keep hounding my 93 year old mother since I won't talk to them to which is also illegal after 1 phone call attempt to another person than the one involved.I'm not admitting to anything over the phone. These people are really desperate low life scumbags.Mr Perryman or I could also say Mr Mason( one in the same) has been hounding me-Get it Perry Mason HA HA HA.

Strange number,  1-866-778-0624.   866 is a 1-800 number,  778 is an area code from vancouver canada,  0624 is the rest of the number,  I realized it was not a U.S. number when there was not another 3 digit number in front of the 0624.   They some how seem to be getting real information about people yet it sounds as if there business is not a legitamate U.S. based business.  They left a message on my phone about someone I dont know so I figure my number was called by mistake.   Still thanks to this site I now feel that they are someone operating out of Canada trying to take peoples money over the phone with no legal basis what so ever.

I realized after I wrote there would not be another 3 digit number before the 4 digits since it is a toll free number but it is out of canada yet the Q A R website says there in New York.   Another reason not to  believe a word they say.
