Said they have a case file and wanted my SS#, and kept calling my house with the same dam automated bs. Said his name was Mr. calasemo or something, and it was all automated.

This group began calling me yesterday and called my cell phone 17 times between 8:02 AM and 9:12 PM. Each time they reqeusted my full social security number and banking routing and account number to "verify my account" before they could discuss anything with me. They never asked for me or anyone else by name.

Today, they have called my cell 13 times so far and are now calling my office phone numerous times requesting the same information to discuss an important matter that must be resolved withing the next 24 hours or the police will show up at my office and arrest me.

This is downright comical. I mean in this day and age would anyone in their right mind provide banking or SSN information to an unknown caller? Even my bank tells me they will never call or email and ask for any personally identifialbe information. C'mon people is this a new Nigerian scam or something. They refuse to identify themselves or the purpose for their call unless the above asked information is provided in full.

The number they call me from is 859 721-0370 and I am sure this is a spoofed number as there is no record of this number on file. They give the 866 778-0624 as a call back number when I do not answer.

I guess there must be somebody out there who gives them what they are asking for or they would not be doing this.

Mary Ann called my husband's cell phone from this number, told him she HAD to talk to me TODAY about some poems that were left to me! Bull!
I looked the number up online here at this website. I called her back to give her a piece of the mind (thankfully I have one piece left...lol). I got her voice mail. I left a message as to who I am and told her if her scam/debt collector vultures called me at ANY number my attorney would be the next one she would talk to, and she would not be a happy camper. Vultures like this are not who should pay money to, they DO NOT win in court. You have never owed them anything. Been there, done that!

I see that some of these posts are from 2008,but even tho' it is now 2011, QAR is still alive and well . I guess no one has been able to shut them down.  I do not have any bills that are behind,however one of my neighbors does,(I live in a condo )has some kind of unpaid bill that has gone through at least 6 collection agencies and has finally landed at QAR.The reason I know this is because the 6 debt collectors call me (he must have caller ID,so he never calls them back. According to them I am a "contact" person.Even tho' I hardly know them! How they got my phone # is that there is some kind of computer program that they put in his address and the computer searches a certain short distance for people in his close area (next door neighbors,across the street etc) and if you have a listed # ,bingo ! you are now a contact person,so they call you and leave a message on YOUR ans machine telling HIM to call them asap,as if he lives there.I have tried with all these people to have my name and # removed from their files,to no avail. So then the debt gets bought again by another company. I have gotten these phone calls for at least 4or 5 yrs but thank God they are infrequent.The latest one was from QAR with the 866 phone #. I have a Checktowaga NY address for them which I am turning over to my State Att. Generals office. Good luck to all !   miss chris

The recording calls say that they are "Debt Collectors". I always called them back, because I do not have any debt with any body but they refused to provide me with any information about their company and the "alleged debt". However, they asked me for my personal information, including my Social Security Number and I have always refused to do so.     Today, Sunday, August 7, 2011,
at 8:37 AM, I received a recording call from the above number while I was sleeping. They left a message, which says..... ..."We apolize for contacting you on a Sunday, but it is important discuss with you regarding a file number XXXXXXX. Please call at 866-778-0624 Monday between 9AM and 9 PM Easter StandardTime, this is a call for a Debt Collector and all information will be used for that purpose". I am tired of explaining them that I am not the person they are looking for; I am tired of
requesting them that delete my private phone number from their list but all my efforts have been
unsuccessful. I will file a complaint in the Federal Trade Commission, Better Business Bureau and I need to know if any Attorney is following this company for similar violations to file a Class Action.

I would like to let everyone know this is a collection agency out of buffalo new york. I want to let you know we are an extremely legal and legitimate agency. I realize there are scams and illegal practices out there and every one is worried about fraud and identity theft however my employer happens to be one of the best agencies you can work with if you find yourself in credit trouble or issues in collections. Every collection agency goes through some collectors that dont follow the laws and restrictions or are rude etc, those people are quickly fired and replaced. We currently have a solid team of employees that is always more than happy to assist someone who wishes to better their financial situation by paying their debts off. Alot of the posts i'm seeing here are outrageous and alot of it seems to be, which in alot of cases it is, someone unaware of an account that has been opened in their name which happens alot with family members former spouses or roommates. In other cases people seem to get calls for people that you are unaware of. We go threw a massive data base of phone numbers listed to different people and alot of times numbers get recycled or end of mistakenly listed for people. Soliciting for money not owed.

Well, QAR called my Mother's number claimed I was using it.  I am not but they went on about a debt they say I owe and never made payment.  I'd like to know how I I got a debt that high and never paid.  I asked for a print out based on the amount and they refused to send it to me saying that they don't have it.  The agent, Paula Strong then said she was going to put it down as a refusal to pay since I knew all the laws to not pay my bills and hung up.  I'm not admitting nor denying it's mine but there is no way I have a total that high.  I need an address to send a cease and desist letter to them.

What a crock.  I called this company and was told "Adams Law Office" was one of their sister companies.  He claimed he could not find my phone number in their system.  These AH's are burning through my cell phone minutes calling me from at least 5 different numbers looking for some person I don't even know.

They put me on terminal hold or hang up when I attempt to speak with someone.

I keep getting calls and voicemails from this number for someone named Tonya. I have had my current phone number for 10 yrs. I never heard of this person and have explained that. Still getting calls
