requesting bank info to get old debt recovery

i really want to find out who are theose people,they keep calling my home phone and leave message said" this is a very serious matter,please call this number".i don't know should i call to them back or not?they even called one of my relative which that i havn't get any touch with them almost 3 years,how do they get the number of my relative?i know i still own some credit card debts,but i never recive a call like this,what should i do?

What state or federal agency would I file a complant with regarding the harrassment of this company? I do not owe anything. They harrasse my grand parents by telling them that it is connected with my sosial security number. My grand parents have asked so meny times not to call any more. It does not stop.

So far this week a Company called QRA has been calling 2x a day. To the point that they leave me demanding MSGS. Since I read this thread I am not answering them. Please be aware these are desperate times and any A Hole will try to take advantage to make quick money.

Just wanna say that these (choice words I wanna say but not gonna go there) does a repetitive pattern as posted (SEE ABOVE) from annoyed and p.o. folks like me, the unwanted messages left are always VAGUE and just do not make sense period, always investigate numbers left and the person leaves a Mr./Mrs/Miss fake last name alias but then again they could be leaving a fake full name period, keep track how many times they call and what days, is it every day or every other day. If you just discovered this site I highly reccomend reading up on FDCPA which can be found online, read up on it and better yet make a copy for your reference and keep it handy when idiots like QAR makes any attempts in calling you.  Take names, time called in your area and verify the number they called at and HANG UP ON THESE [***]!

someone named Mrs. Mason called from this number saying they have received my name and social security number and for me to call or my attorney to call them asap and it was imperative.

Have no clue what they are talking about and know it is a scam these people need to be in jail for harassment!!!

Lawyer fight!

A call has been coming up Blocked and I have been answering it because my Uncle's number comes up Blocked call. When the guy on the other line says hello he states his name and asks for my father. What is weird is that my father NEVER lived in my house and says that he got my number because my father used me as an emergancy contact. Then he proceeds to say that "I am from QRA looking to settle a law suite and I need to get a statement from(my father's name).Please give him this number and have him contact us." When I called my father to ask about it he says that he has no idea who they are and I am sick of getting these calls.

These people just called me today for the 6th day in a row! They told me they would start doing a criminal investigation on me if i didnt settle a huge debt that was charged off several years ago. they said that i needed to pay them TODAY at least 1000 to stop them from starting lawsuit and then 250 a month until debt is payed off. If I do not do this they are going to sue me! I got so pissed off by their second threat of the day that I screamed at the lady on the phone and threw it! (not my usual way of reacting!)  They said they would add extra 1500.00 dollars to my debt to cover their fees for the investigation, and I better get a lawyer! grr!

Just received a call from them stating I need to call or have my attorney call them back by 9pm at the 866 778 0624 number. I hate these kind of calls. All they left was a case # and said something was filed against my social cecurity number. thank god for all of you who post on here so people can get a feel for what is going on. What [***]! Made me think i was getting sued. Jerk.

My call from these folks came in on a dif number than one everyone else is listing,7166502836. Looked upqar and their number is listed again dif 8668924564. Anyone else getting these calls from these numbers?

Somebody left a message on my voice mail, asking for Hellen Martinez, since a family with that name owned the property I now live.
I call them back to let them know they sold the property, the first thing the guy asked me was my social security, which of course I did not give it to him, I told him it wasn't me, so he said ah wrong number he hanged up the phone.
I think they are out there to get your personal information, beware!!!!

Should call themselves bottom-feeding predators. Never received anything in writing from them with QAR or the account they are supposedly calling about. These callous thugs are nothing more than thieving telemarketers, calling to harass victims of the banks and predatory lenders that made executives millions of dollars extending credit to borrowers who were destined to fail, especially with the current recession/depression.

RECIEVED A CALL STATING TO RETURN CALL I WAS BEING INVESTIGATED FOR FRAUDELENT USE OF SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER.  CALLED NUMBER BACK WAS CONNECTED TO CHIEF INVESTIGATOR THEN TO SOMEONE ELSE. ASKED IF I WAS ON PAROLE OR PROBATION, HAD ANY INSUFFICIENT FUNDS IN LAST SIX MONTHS AND SOMETHING ELSE.  SAID I OWED FOR AN ONLINE LOAN FROM CASH SUPPLY, SAID I RECIEVED LOAN IN JAN. 2007 AND STOPPED PAYING IN JULY 2007.  SAID LOAN WAS FOR $500 AND MY BALANCE WAS $900.  AND I NEED TO MAKE SOME ARRANGEMENTS TO PAY, ALSO CALLED MY INLAWS AND SAY THEY WERE LOOKING FOR ME FOR BANK FRAUD.  I WONDER IF I PAID $750 FOR A $500 LOAN, HOW DO I STILL OWE $900, I HAVE NEVER RECIEVED ANY PAPERWORK FROM THEM OR ANYTHING.

they are not an honest crew, they said they would fax me a recipite so I can collect from my ins co. and after three calls nothing!! They did report it to experian and they have outlaw power to kill your credit and there is nothing one can do. Even after paying they did not do as they said, fax a recipit and repair the experian credit report. All I can say is law gives them a lot of power and short of hireing a lawyer for some thousands of dollars there is nothing one can do. They will distroy your credit and in times like now the banks will reject ones application for loans and such. All I can say is they have way to much power and don't answer to anyone, were can one call to get help, except a high cost lawyer??? good luck my friend.

hELLO, they will and can report it to a credit union, like experian. They did on me and short of hiring a expensive lawyer there is nothing one can do, be careful they have a lot of power to distroy your credit and even after I paid they did nothing to correct my credit, they will not even fax me a recipit for payment. People say write or call the gov. agencies and nothing will be done about them!! I hope I am wrong, please someone tell me a gov. agency did somthing???
