it is a scam they are trying to scam you out if money by posing as a collection agency.  Do not talk to them especially give them no info about banks r caredit cards and do not send them money

I also get calls from this company asking for some unknown person.  They called me this morning at 7:38 AM.  They somehow got ahold of my husband's cell number and called him.  Who are these people?  I have no outstanding debt and have not received any correspondence from QAR stating they own a debt of mine or are attempting to collect on something.  They just started calling one day.  I have told them repeatedly that the person they are looking for is not at this number yet they call.  How did you contact the FTC?  Did you find them helpful?

I got a call from man at 716 462 5716...from Buffalo Ny....debt collector.   I cannot get a response, as only a recording is available.  Also, I made pmt arrangements with this man, and I really thought he was a true bill collector.  I was threatened with court appearances, wage garnishments, etc...and I am now cancelling my bank acct...as I am not at all sure this is a legit company...

I have a unlisted phone number how are these crooks getting our information i done even know who they are and I am not calling them back.

QAR  is a collections agency for different companies......   i know of one company they handle is Lowes.

i got a call from MR Harper stating I owe for credit card that had not been paid in full. That was a bunch of CRAP> Now I am working with my bank because they took money from my account after I called Several times and told him debt was not owed.

The actual number on my caller ID appeared to be a local number.  I had a message on my answering machine about assisting with location information which sounded relatively benign.  I've been getting a number of phone calls for the guy who used to have my number that these places apparently think he owes money (is the impression I get).  The 866-778-0624 number was left on the message as a callback number.  I thought maybe it was against my better judgment but decided to give it a shot to try to explain it's my phone number now and not the guy they've been trying to reach.  Got a recording that the company was QAR and to hold yadda yadda yadda.  Explained the situation to the guy who answered and would they please take my number off their list.  The guy was reasonably polite and understanding.  We'll see what happens ...

Thanks everyone for the good info. I just got a call from (916)930-6955 and a recorded message was left on my voice mail asking to call 866-778-0624. I believe they are some kinda scum bag collection lying agency. Never ever answer these theifs.

I got a call from QAR LLC and they say in their message that they are a Debt Recovery Company.  First of all they had the name of person who I don't know.  Secondly, I recently got my cell phone and I don't know if the phone belonged to someone else or what but I would hope that they would stop calling me.  

I cannot help them with who they are trying to reach.  Please help if you can.

Received this caller number 866-778-0624. I didn't know what is this for so listening to the messges and says that they are debt collector and i own a debt and  I go ahead i call them to find out what is going on. they claimed i own GM master card 10 years ago since year 2000 for the amount of $4.953.72 now i have to pay this debt. the lady was rule on the phone. I told her that i never applied credit card with GM card, she stated that im lying and give me untill 5pm on which about 3 hrs deadline from my first conversation with her to come up with agreement to pay the bill of which i have no idea were and or how does this debt came from. i did asked her to send me a written statement but she refused and threat me with some wording that she was trained to use from time to time. she gave me the Card account number and the total that i have to pay.  I will contact Federal Trade Commission Consumer Response Center (1-877-382-4357) and filed a claim tomorrow and also report this to local police department show them my clean credit report all way back not 10 but 13 years ago. I don't know were did they get my SSN and my phone # but this is nothing but fraud and Identity Thief as far im concerned. Bunch of robberies. I only wish i should have record the conversation and report to police. this happened on 2-14-2011

They keep calling my number for a person who does not exist.   Not sure how to get rid of these bums...but it is really annoying.

received calls from QARLLC over a period of MONTHS for my daughter who does not live with me.  when i told them, they still kept calling.

DO NOT give them any INFO or MONEY it is a SCAM they tried to tell me the same thing about a cash advance they said I never paid it back and if I didn't pay today I would be arrested (yeah right they are in New York I'm in California) I kept them on the phone going back and forth for a long time then after I was done I called the cash advance company and they told me that yes my account was clear. I gave them the name and phone number of that person and another person from another company who had tried the same thing as this company is the 3rd to try this on me. She said there legal department is looking into this. Anyway there is a lot of this going on because this is the third time this has happened here are some of the other numbers they use: 888-593-0055 and 206-451-5432 the best thing to do is do not agree with any information they have on you don't give them any information and I think by me keeping him on the phone a long time and finally at the end telling him to go ahead and take me to court they finally stopped for about 6 months. There are scammers every where it is sad people need to resort to this.

Here's what I'm going to do: Send a certified letter to QAR, 3806 Union Road, Suite 2 #260, Cheektowaga NY 14225 (if you look this up on Google maps it's a hole in the wall near a Nails Salon so I'm not sure if this is the right address. It's what is posted on the QAR LLC website.) I called the FCC 877-382-4357 to file a complaint after which they told me to also file a complaint with my state's Consumer Protection Agency. QAR uses local numbers to call then refers you to their 866-778-0624 number. Do not attempt to do any business with them. If you legitimately owe something do business with that company not with QAR. Do NOT use their website's contact page to tell them to cease and desist as it will automatically record your computer's e-mail address and they will get that and hound you on it too.

Actually the mailing address I just left goes to a UPS store's mail box - just to show you what a scam this company is. They have nothing but a UPS post office box as their business address.

I had a Miss Miller leave a very important sounding from The office of" QAR" She informed me that sometime last week a client came to their office's about an incident that had happened .She needed me to call back to give her a statement about this incident! @ 1-866-778-0624 ext 221

So because I searched my brain & I hadn't been in an incident I thought what the heck I'd look them up on the Internet! Glad I did thanks for the other post!
