1-866-801-1526  These people call 2 and 3 times a day asking for a specific person. I tell them they have the wrong number, no one is here by that name.  I ask why do you keep calling back when I have told you numerous times you have the wrong number.  They say because they know they have the right number.  I just let it ring now but it has been going on for 2 months.

Similar to most of you, get these phone calls regularly, called back and the person on the phone tries to get personal information - which if it a creditor my name should suffice - which I do not give, they never name the company they are collecting for or amount, asked to be taken off their list and still get the calls. Trying to figure our how to block them now.

Listen-I paid off a couple of parking tickets at the local mvb and renewed my registration. 8 weeks later I was being harrassed by this number about a parking ticket.  MVB told me to try the town offices because they might not have registered the ticket with the MVB yet so I did. Nothing found anywhere.  After about 3 months an old  parking ticket charge appeared on my MVB record and I paid the MVB.  I never responded to this 866-802-1526 except for the first call and 2nd calls in which I told them I had a 0 balance and then that I had verified it. If they want payment send proof. Then I ignored them. I also did not give my birthdate.  I told them that it was private and I dont know who they are.

I tell you this because it is possible you owe money and dont realize it. Check the MVB and your local town and pay the money to them.

They call us and ask us personal questions like our home address and names etc. After that day they call us early morning after every 2 days.
Now we don't take their calls anymore ... It really bothers us when they call us early morning while we are sleeping... Please try to block this number.

They keep calling, daily, between 7-8:00am.  They keep asking for the same person, my last name, but the first name does not exist.  I have told them this, daily, & asked, no longer nicely, to quit calling me.  They continue to do so.  Has anyone figured out how to block this number?

I received a call from one of these people and yes they are very annoying to have a adult to adult conversation but anyway I do recall about 4 years ago I was told to pull over by a cop because my car was blocking traffic. now im not from toronto and i happen to be in the clubbing district and the light turned red when i made the turn. so basically the cop was being an [***] and i was only a teenager at the time and wouldnt give me a break. so after renewing my licence i printed out my driving record to see if this ticket showed up and it never did. so i said to myself i lucked out and maybe the cop was nice and didnt file it because i just didnt want to pay it. now this bull [***] company is calling me 4-5 times a day which is now programmed on my phone as "DO NOT PICK UP" and the chick even knows my old home address and asked why they never mailed anything and they even knew my drivers licence. so I have no idea what to do. I have this feeling that if I keep avoiding them and playing dumb I will get away with it since my insurance is covered by work and i never had problems renewing my licence. it seems like a legit company but at the same time their ways of business are very shady. when i said i think this is a scam what is your website address or anything they wouldnt give it to me on the phone so until i get that im not paying any [***] company [***]. i think because of the economy going to [***] the government is trying real hard to pull money from any source they can

I started making a game of it; seeing how fast I can answer -> hang up.  The games are becoming less and less now, more and more days apart (from daily to twice a day sometimes).

All you need to do is ask them not to phone your number again, remove you from their calling list and if you receive a call from them again you'll file a harassment charge against them. Do this, of course, after you get their company name and location and the callers name.

I received a call at 7:30am this morning and asked her if she had any idea what time it was and then hung up on her. She phoned back and told me I was rude to hang up on someone. That's when I got nasty with her.

    Hey!
I have received calls from this nbr for months.  They ask for personal info and are VERY rude on the phone. They claim to be collecting for an unpaid parking ticket.  Just off of the phone with the police:
    1.  the police do not use a collection agency for unpaid tickets
    2.  tell them the next time they call that the police are looking into it
    3.  they believe it is a scam for fraud theft
    4.  the next time they call an officer will come to the house to take a report
    5.  do NOT give them any info

this agency is cbv they hire all immigrants that dont know there collection laws.google (collection laws of canada) they also keep calling my house looking for the wrong person, by law (read up) if the debtor does not live there they should remove your number, what you need to do for those [***] is send them a cease and disist leter fax it to them , it should say cease and desist from all verbal communication to this number and address everything should be sent by mail, after you have faxed that info and you have called them to see if they have recieved that info they should not call. If they continue to call sue them for privacy ,or file a ministry complaint. scare those [***] with a ministry complaint , i hate them so much. And yes should i be talking because im a collector ,i follow my rules when someone says the debtor doesnt live there i remove the number, good luck guys .

Received several calls from this number. Finally decided to call them back. The woman announced herself as belonging to iQor and asked to speak to a family member. When asked what the call was about, she refused to disclose. Hung up on her.

    Upset!
I have been receiving calls for an ex-partner who no longer resides with me from 866-801-1526 a Financial Institute. When I asked what the calls were about, the operator stated that they needed to speak with my ex-partner and it was none of my business. The calls continued to come. Finally, I called back from work one day and inquired who or how did they get my phone number. As usual receivng the same response we want to talk to XXXXXXXXX and only XXXXXXXX. I had mentioned that since leaving my ex-partner I had moved, changed my name, and my phone number. The operator actually had the nerve to ask me how to get a hold of my ex-partner. I was so upset that I was yelling at the operator demanding that my number be removed from the list, and that I DID NOT want them calling my number EVER AGIAN!!!

This number has called repeatedly at all hours of the day or night over the course of the last month.  As of late they have started calling around eight o'clock in the morning which is rather annoying when you are pregnant and the doctor has ordered you to rest.  Upon doing some reasearch the number in question comes back to a collection agency for student debt. First of all both myself and my husband do not have any unpaid loans or debt owed as I myself attending college years ago and paid all expenses out of pocket to avoid a loan.  Secondly my husband has never attended college period and therefore does not have a loan of this nature.  We are aware that the phone number we have had since March of 2005 once belonged to someone by the name of Emma Hunter and have received more than one call from creditors in the past looking for her but, have informed each one that not only do we not know this individual that this is not her number. Most of the time the calls stop but, this is annoying and harrassment by people that should not be calling anyone at these times in fact I have even put all of our personal phone numbers on the "Do Not Call" list to avoid getting frustrating phone calls of any nature. I hope that someone can do something about this as we do not need the added stress and disruption in our lives!
