- Called Them Back - Remove My NumberCalled the number back and left a message to remove my number from their list.
- Concerned| 13 repliesOperator called and stated they represented the United States Armed Forces Association. When I politely declined to donate, operator projected an attitude. Great Cause - poor attitude. So poor, I felt compelled to call and speak with customer service. Would not answer a return call. Voice on answering service sounded identical to voice of caller that contacted me. Internet search on yahoo and google did not produce an exact match for United States Armed Forces Association. I would think an organization requesting donations would have a website promoting the effort. Felt suspicious.
- Caller: United States Armed Forces Association
- JoeCaller wanting donations.
- Caller: toll free call

- Frustrated FamilyThey continue to call at odd hours, having been told twice to stop and on both occasions requested thay remove our number from their list. We also experienced a rather unpleasant person during 2 of the calls.
- Caller: US Armed Forces Association
- Call type: Non-profit organization
- A. Morris| 3 repliesI also received the call asking for a donation, and when I inquired about what percentage goes to the US Armed Forces, they hung up on me. This can't be a legitimate charity if they don't even have a website that you can find by searching by their name, United States Armed Forces Association.

- Kathy C.Just received the call from the so called United States Armed Forces Association and had the same bad experience with rudness!!!! And if you try to look them up, you won't find them. What does that tell you!!! I have had these calls before and quiet frankly, for the ones that are legit, I'm sorry to say, I am not very trusting anymore. I did leave a rather nasty message informing them that after looking them up, it was obvious this is a scam. No doubt, they won't be calling me again!!! The real shame of these calls is that when someone does call that is trustworthy, it spoils it for those folks who are REALLY in need. Finally, I have a senior citizen that lives with us and thank goodness she didn't answer the phone, she probably would have taken the bait.
- Caller: U.S. Armed Forces Association

- annoyedCaller identified themselves as "U.S. Armed Forces Assoc" asking for money. likely SCAMMER- report them

- VashtiAnother call from these people claiming to be United States Armed Forces Association. Very frustrating.
- DanielPhone rang and caller ID showed this number with caller name unavailable. I don't answer unidentified calls and this caller didn't leave a message. When I googled the number I found that the caller claims to represent a military charity organization and that others being called by them are asked for donations. When the called parties do not donate the callers become rude.

- Spec| 1 replyWay to piss me off first thing in the morning.
Got a call from these scammers......
"Hello Mr S. I am calling you from the Armed Forces Association where we help soldiers coming back from war and those still active with care packages. Would you mind if I send you an envelope to help them out?"
S: "How is sending me an envelope going to help them out?"
"Well you would put a donation in it and send it back."
S: "What is your management fee?"
"Just a minute. I have a manager here.... fee..."
"Hello, hello?" comes the official voice of a manager.
S: "You claim to be an organization helping American soldiers. What is your management fee?"
"The charity gets 20% and 80% is used for fund raising and to run the organization."
S: "Is this a profit organization?"
"Yes"

- Dr_Dan replies to Concerned| 9 repliesThis is a scam operation. They use the name of an organization likely to elicit a stong emotional reaction to get donations. In fact, there is no U.S. Armed Forces Association. If you had given them money you would later have been contacted by a host of other scams using the same ploy. This happened to us when my wife sent money to the State Troopers Association. Never give money over the phone. You are right, if they are legitimate, they will have a professional web site. Yopu can also tell them to mail you information. Few phone fraud operations invest in high quality mail pieces.
- Mary's FriendJust got a call from this number. When the Caller ID says "unavailable," so am I; I don't pick up. What pests.
- Debbiecalled number. Got a recording that said they were US Armed Forces Association and looking for donations. I'm pretty sure this is not a legit firm.

- found info replies to Dr_Dan| 7 repliesHi, I know you have to be careful of who you give your money to in this tough economy, but they are definitely a real charity, even apart of the cfc (11324) i highly doubt that the government would support their employees to giving to a non existent charity! Their website is vsf-usa.org They are more commonly known since 1991 as the Veterans Support Foundation
