This number called my phone twice today. I answered the second time and got a message from a computerized voice named Lisa asking me to call John Taylor back at 18668522187.

I recieved a phone call a couple of weeks ago at work..my boss answered and she said someone named lisa wanted me to call her back at John Taylor in reguards to a garnishement?..I called back from work and the number rang and rang..so i told my boss must not be too important..well they called again and I was off just this past monday..again lisa from john taylor..I called them tuesday where this man proceeded to tell me I had a garnishment waiting to go through courts..in reguards to an old us bank account then asked me my name and if I had had an account with them I said yes,but then he proceeded to tell me I owed 1003.00 on it..I said what?..he said do you have a credit card to pay this off. I said no he said well when do you get payed I said I just got payed and I will not be making any payments.  He said well I can take it down to 800 and some odd dollars if you pay it off with your credit card today..I said no..he said it will have to go through court and litigation I said then I guess I will wait to recieve my letters from the court..I said what company is this through he said Regent Asset Management.. oh then you are saying you are not making any payments..I say no..he says well ok its your credit..i say ok..he hangs up..I wrote this down and had the information my boss wrote down and realized a lisa called me first in reguards to some John Taylor and now this guy I call back on the same number is for asset management for some carruthers guy..I have no idea whom Im speaking to or why they are calling..and it sounds like they dont either.I look this wonderful number up and find all these posts..So I contacted police authorities and recieved two numbers one to stay in contact with and one to report them to. The authorities also took their number to spread the word about them.

i just got a call from a Lisa @ 503-207-0641 wanting me to call A John Taylor back at 1-866-852-2187. it was on my cell and they never said what it was concerning nor used my name. i've reported it to the GOV line.

fedup - "Cant figure out how to get it stopped, when I answer I get a voice recording to call John Taylor at a different number, yeah right like am gong to do that!"

well if you don't talk to them then you can't get it stopped stupid.

We received this call tonight and this is the numeber it came from..not the one they are asking me to call ...

I am a secretary at a business and we have received several calls from "Rob Parker"'s secretary.  Those calls sort of died off, but today we got a voicemail saying we needed to call this "John Taylor". I wondered if this was the same type of deal, so I googled the phone number... guess it's just like the "Rob Parker" scam.  glad i checked.

Got a call from this number "regarding a file on John Taylors desk" No other info-just call that number 1-866-852-2187"  I will not be calling him

Had the same call last night at 8:45 pm. I was actually home but did not answer as the caller id said toll free service 866-809-6415.
The message left said this was Lisa and that I needed to call John Taylor with detail as soon as possible at 866-852-2187.  This Lisa referenced no name or what it was about. I started wondering but it did seem odd that they called so late and said he would be available until 7:00 pm. It was past 7:00 already!! Thanks to the other posts on this site I will not be calling back and plan to answer if they call back and hit the pound sign seven times to knock the number out of the computer system. Paul Harvey spoke of this on his radio show and I have done this ever since--calls do diminish.

i recived this same call last night. for john taylor came up un known they left messag on answer machine  call 1-866-852-2187

Just like everyone else, I got this urgent call for me to verify information. Lisa left a message, and I am to call John Pailor by 7 pm
(Wednesday night 11/11/2009).
I work for the Better Business Bureau....checked as much as I could and could not get any where with different searches.............
Too many scams out there to get involved with someone who doesn't leave much of an urgent message.

"I have been trying to get in touch with you about a file referred to my office"

I got one today with a local number on the caller id. Then" John Taylor"who mind you never said on the message who he was referring to,needs me to call him back. I looked up the number from the id and it is a landline. So he or it is working from home. I looked up the number given and got (intermedia communications) ignore it and report it to the attonery generals office. They are in violation of many laws. They are ghosting their calls. Making it show up like it is someone else. I think it is called phone spoofing or something. Ignore it!

got a call today from Lisa to call John Taylor before 7pm today, and stated need to verify more info and i called and told them that my mother was ill and that i am over her affairs and she said we cant tell you and you need to send in a ltr to show you have power of attorney and i told her i am not and my mother is laying up dying and if u want help you will tell me and she started jabbering and i hung up. They gave me 8668522187 to call a john taylor

got a call on my cell showing a local number. Didn't answer but a message was left. The message started mid sentence. Said it was in regards to a file but did not say who the message was for or the name of the company he was calling from. Didn't even give his name just to call 866-852-2187 and he would be at his desk all day.

Why would a local number come up on caller id and then an 866# be left as a call back number? Sounds fishy to me.

My daughter has gotten several calls from John Taylor saying "Please call me as soon as you get this message @ 1-866-852-2187 concerning a file that has reached my office".  Did not use her name.  When I tried calling back (she is a minor), I was put on hold for 20 min. and then disconected without anyone ever picking up.  I tried to call three times with the same result.  ***SCAM***  How do we get these scums off our backs?

Message said, "trying to reach you and not heard back from you regarding a file that's been forwarded to him. Please call me, John Taylor at 866-852-2187. I'll be in the office all day". We are on do not call list. It was obvious that this was a recorded message. Never had a US Bank account.

Left this message:
"Hi this is John, Taylor. I've been trying to reach you but I have not heard back from you. I need to verify information regarding a file that has been referred to my office. Please contact me right away at 1-866-852-2187. I'll be in my office all day today. So please call me. as soon as you get this message. Again the no. is 18668522187. Thank you."

same scam here .  to call John Taylor.
I think it is a collection agency scam
when the call appeared on my cell number they had it linked to a local number so it appeared to be a local call and the "John Taylor" told me to call 1-866-852-2187 but they did not have my name or any other info.
This looks like a total scam.  Do not give them money or any of your personal info

Same as everyone above...got a msg from a local number (1-952-679-3007) and was asked to call this 866-852-2187 number to verify information.  Anyone who calls and does not address me using my name or specify what company he works for or who he is representing is not worthy of a call back.  I have also gotten SEVERAL calls from 1-800-294-7691...not sure if they are in anyway related.  All I know is that these random 800/866 numbers are very annoying and possibly dangerous so I will investigate any ways to get them under control.  Just for the record, I do have a US Bank account...I will be contacting them to alert them of this activity as well.
