I just paid my loan off in full so it didn’t make sense.  They do a bait and switch situation.  Just block the number

Today one of my family members came to me with a call from this company. I immediately typed the number into google and this is the page that I found. I am grateful that someone took the time to put this information up,

Claimed same thing, urgent message regarding student loan. However I know for a fact is false.

Melissa called me from this number about student loans

I just received a call from the same person named Melissa and I will NOT return this call

Got the same call. Never heard so many “um” in a message before (not professional). Every few words was “um”. Not sure the Department of Education would be impressed.  Called number she gave which is different from calling number and says the number doesn’t exist. Called the calling number and it goes to a different business of a different industry. SCAM.

During all this Corona stuff it's still happening! Called me from 4095065843.... on VM ""Melissa" said agent ID is 0136

I had the same exact thing, I called them multiple times and ask what company they were and why are they calling me,  Hung up on me every time.  SCAM!!

This in-coming number appeared as a "scam likely" and I sent it straight to voicemail. After listening to the message, Melissa Spence contacted me about my student loans. I contacted the number back and it does give you the option to be removed and put on the do not call list. Total scam.

I received the call and The exact same thing was said on my messages.

I received a call from this number and this is the full message she left on my voicemail. The call identified it coming from Georgia.

“Hi yes this is Melissa _⁠_⁠_⁠_⁠_⁠_ in my agent ID 8013 _⁠_⁠_ I'm calling you today in reference to your student loans and I need to discuss your payment options with you um there's a _⁠_⁠_⁠_⁠_⁠_ changes to your account to take _⁠_ _⁠_⁠_⁠_ recently so if you can call me back as soon as possible the number is 866-861-5070 and I'm also gonna go ahead and give you a reference number to have handy when you a call back um it was just thinking the lot easier if you have that _⁠_⁠_⁠_ number is ______ and although this is time sensitive I've _⁠_⁠_ had an extended _⁠_⁠_ _⁠_⁠_⁠_⁠_⁠_ to remain open on your account until Friday so again the number is 866-861-5070 thank you so much…”

I just received a call from this number and came across my phone as spam risk.  The call was from Kansas City, KS and the phone number was 1-913-444-6059.  I did not answer it so it went to my VM which was exactly as the VM that Denise posted.

I had the same call. It was Melissa and gave me her agent number and said it was urgent. I looked up on here. Thanks for everyone.

Received a call from 828-319-2254...Melissa reg Student Loans...I'm paying mine. So...just another company trying to scoop up business. I speak to my loan people often and they're great. So, I know it's not a call from them.

Got the exact same message seems like a scam

Well, of course it is. A legitimate company with identify themselves and they wouldn't hang up when you ask questions.

This “Melissa” person called me again, last time they called was February. They had called once a month since December but didn’t call last month. Each time was a different number calling but each with the same message, same person, and given the same number to call back.

I got the same thing today!  Just let it go to Voicemail. I already know I am current on my loan payment actually I’m ahead (I send it weekly) .
