I recieved a call on the 11th of march  from a guy claiming to be a attorny for vincent cignarle, about a debt that has several years old and the guy told me i owed 960 bucks on a 300 dollar debt. He told me that if i didnt pay them that they would call my job and dock my wages and take me to court. Which is very illegal in texas.when the guy called me he was ordering starbucks. and why would he call me from new york when i live in texas? i contacted bud hibbs imediatly and he told me not to pay a dime when i was talking to Steve from cignarles office he said he would mail me paperwork which i have not recieved plus he is now calling my parents. he then called back today and left me a voicemail on my cell phone and told me that he was going to call the court. I have filed a complaint to the new york attorney generals office.Im going to fight this!

Can anyone tell me how to stop the phone calls?  They have called my husband at work and they are calling MY mom and dads house and leaving them messages.  They think that he is in trouble with the law etc. which he is not, but it is very upsetting to them and to us.  What can we do to stop them from calling us?

last month i recieved a call from these guys looking for my husband.  when i asked who he should contact the guy on the phone released info about how my husband took out a payday loan from quik payday...  blah blah blah.  well cut to the chase my husband felt pressured when he talked to them and despite not knowing anything about this debt he agreed to pay.  when we saw this website we realized that we were scammed.  we had to cancel our bank account and get a new one.  when my husband called and supposedly talked to vincent himself he told him that we cancelled our account and we refuse to pay because he is a scam artist he got a little ticked off.  he said that his office would be mailing us proof of the supposed debt.  one month later and we still haven't recieved any documentation and they have since called us.

be smart about it.  weather or not you think the debt is legit, get legal advice.  this guy prays on unsuspecting people and uses scare tactics.  just be firm with them and they will leave you alone.  we to made complaints to the attorney general, and many different agencies.  it is sad that nothing is being done to stop these guys.

I got a phone call from this number 716-651-0424/0369!  Mr. Jason Hines x 379 and Ms. Mouler x 335.  They both work there.  I am currently in the process of getting a lawyer to sue this law office.  They called me and told me that I was going to court and was going to be sued over a debt from 2005 that I didn't even remember having.  So I paid the money.  My mom called me and I told her what happened and the same law office called her girlfriend.  She paid also.  I wish I had done my research before I paid them.  I have already called and left messages letting them know I'm going after them and Mr. Cignarale called me at work and asked me why I was going to report them.  JERK!  I have not received a reciept from them.  I have already sent in A grievance to the New York State Office of Attorney and the Federal Trade Commission.  I am noW getting in touch with a consumer lawyer to take their bogus A@$$! to court!

I think you people are pathedic. I dont work for Mr.cignarale but I buy debt and I do hire attorney's offices from time to time to sue or collect off of it. I think it is ammusing to watch you people look for any exscuse not to take care of your bills. Its amazing that you can afford a computer and online service but cant pay a simple bill or make an attempt to. Write to experien or trans union they can tell you who owns your debt. And if you think bud hibs is a good person to take advice from you should check out his credit report it is full of money judgements.Any moron can start a web-site and put down every single collection agency out there. If you listen to him you are looking at having a very low credit score because he advises you not to pay any collection agency. And in the event that a attorney's office desides to contact your county and file suit against you, your looking at wage garnishment, property leans, or seizure of your assests.    BUT DONT TAKE MY WORK FOR IT GO GET YOUR SELF AN ATTORNEY AND ASK HIM OR HER BECAUSE THEY WILL TELL YOU THE SAME THING!!!!!      ...   PS : money mike, if you do infact work for mr.cignarale he should have you fired for

I don't mean to sound rude but.....you really do need to learn to spell. I would think that for someone that says that are in the business world of purchasing debt you could express yourself better than you do. You might take an online course on grammar, punctuation and letter writing, better yet, take a complete course on english. Also, you do not give correct advice. Learn before you spout your mouth off about something. I'm sure you have heard the old saying, "Tis better to appear the fool that to open your mouth and prove it."

In order to stop unwanted phone calls you need to write a very brief letter to the collection agency or collection attorney. Simply put, I am not allowed to take phone calls at work and it is inconvenient to call me at anytime. I will correspond with you through the US postal service only. Saying this over the phone will not stop the calls, it must be done in writing. Be sure to send your letter, certified, return receipt. Keep a copy of your letter and when the green card comes back attach it to your letter. This is your proof of notice should you receive more calls. File complaints using the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, (FDCPA). Read it and know it before filing complaints though.

I received a phone call from the same scam artist and advised them they had incorrect information. They tried to cut the conversation short by saying they will start the paperwork to take me to court. I responded by saying, "Great! My attorney and I will meet you there!". This is a bogus scam artist who claims I owe an unpaid debt which is FALSE! Every year I obtain a credit report to make certain everything is current and not delinquent. They are full of hot garbage and I plan on suing them for the maximum amount allowed by our state. My attorney is looking forward to receiving official documentation from the scam artist so that we can move forward. What an idiot?!?!

You do NOT want to send any money to debt collector

Vincent Cignarale for the following reasons:

    1) These debts are mostly bogus, bought for pennies, many out of statute.
    2) Harvey Denis & Jack Sortino have never legally proven one debt in a     legal setting, they have manufactured thousands of phony documents that are loaded with perjury.
3)There is a high probability that Vincent Peter Cignarale will not survive for very long, that he will suffer the same fate as his predecessors in a sea of lawsuits and financial ruin.
    4) The New York State Bar is now aggressively going afterlawyers like Vincent who ‘rent’ their law licenses for a commission on collected debts, from a phony law office in a satellite location.
    5) Buffalo, NY has such a high profile as the worst, most sleazy, liars, thieves, conmen, drug addicted, convicted felons and other criminal debt collectors that consumers have stopped paying debt collectors up there by the millions.
    6) Finally, it’s just WRONG! These are criminals, who extort monies they are NOT entitled to. Most of them belong in jail; not sending them money will hasten their demise.

If you are contacted by anyone from this Rent-A-Lawyer’s office get in touch with us for assistance and referral to a REAL lawyer who can assist you. Vincent won’t be around for very long; let’s hasten his demise by being smart. Tape record their calls, send us any letters you receive (Fax: 817-348-8128) contact the officials at the state bar:

I received a letter from this office with the # 866-876-7234 Law Office of Vincent Cignarale.  When I told the lady who wouldn't give me her name that this was fraud because I never had a loan with Quick PayDay and wanted to know how do I dispute this matter she told me it was to late.  I then said to her give me some proof and she gave a month and year and I still said nope.  I then told her this was a fraud and she said it was to late for me to do anything and hung up in my face.
