I received the same calls that all of you did starting the week of Nov. 19; 4 calls in all. Each one very sketchy, just that they had a file with my name on it need to call them ASAP to clear things up. They called my vitual phone number, which I can pick up from any physical phone with out them knowing where I am. In particular not letting them know what my home, work, cell, etc. is. Thanks for the postings.

Victor Signorelli, attorney at law, voicemail/computer call regarding former employee John Tobin.  I called the number back, and was told that I was being taken off their call list.  Curiosity got me looking in the internet for this attorney, imagine my surprise...now what?

Received a call from this "attorney" about a debt from First American Ivestment Company, LLC, who bought a debt from a charged off account. A google search revealed the following information:

I also found that this company, the First American company, is being sued for purchasing debts illegaly, etc. If you get a call from this office, ask them questions about who they are representing if they give you a name other than First American Investment Company, keep prodding, they will most likely tell you the truth. Once you have this information, get as much information as you can, and then ask them for their FAX and mailing address. Go to the first website about and send First American the sample letter making sure to send a copy or FAX to the "law office." They should drop it, and if they don't, contact a lawyer and sue them.

My husband is getting calls from this office once a day at home and his PARENTS are also getting calls!  He is 25 and hasn't lived at home in 7 years and his parents are older and are freaking out about it!! This SAME office called us like this like 3 years ago and threatened over the phone to come take our furniture and cars and revoke our licenses!!!!  What kind of crap is this!

This number keeps calling me and telling me to contact them because they owe me an apology but I have yet to call, I don't think that I will. It sounds like a scam!

Oh I have not nor will I, I am now just ignoring these people's phone calls because they do not tell you the truth when you ask THEM questions about who/what/when/where/why/how.  How convenient is that?

I love how they call you 10 times a day too from "unknown name" "unknown number" refrence on caller ID but they know who YOU are immediately.

I keep getting calls from this company stating that i owe for a payday loan that i never took out. I kept telling the guy that they are illegal in my state. He told me to go get a police report and fax it to the company. I told him i dont know how he got my information but he have the wrong person. He started to get rude so i just hung up on him. I just ignore the calls.

Hi Money Mike, I am glad you find this funny. YOu will find it even funnier when you receive the letters from the Federal Trade Commission and the New York State Attorney General that I have contacted. The difference between me and a lot of the people on this site is that I know the law and I have recorded every single call between me and your "Rent a law office" Including the one where one of your reps told me to appear in court in my city and there has never been anything filed. The first time a rep. called me, he left a voice msg. with 6 violations of the FDCPA.  I called to complain to his supervisor.  Vincent Signarale called me back himself.  I told him everything that had happened.  Withing 2 min. of getting off the phone with Signarale, the rep. who refers to himself as Mr. Beasley (I think the Mr. must come from small pennis syndrome) called me back from an unkown number and threatened to burn down my house and shoot me.  I would like to thank little dick Beasley as his actions will probably bring about the funding of my early retirement.

I received a message on my answering machine from Mr. Hofcraw representing the law offices of attorney Vincent Signorelli with a docket # saying this is a pre-litigation call and I should call back at 866-876-7234 extension 272.

Needless to say, after reading the posts above I'll ignore it like any other call from a stranger trying to scam me.

Why is it that they don't mail anything to anyone, and only make phone calls?  Also, I noticed someone posted about a $420 debt that they owed.  Funny, that was also my amount . . . anyone else?

There was a message on my answering machine today from the Law Offices of Vincent P. Cignarale requesting that I call 1-866-878-5796 immediately concerning an important matter.  Since I don't know any attorneys by that name, I checked the internet first and was directed to this link to report the call.

I received a call when I got home last evening left on my machine from a "Mrs. Spillman" who explained that it was urgent that I return her call at 866-876-7234 with a case number.  I returned the call and got voicemail that identified the Law Office of Vincent Cignarale.  I phoned the office this morning, provided the case number, and was told that she was seeking a man at my address and number, which I've had for three and a half years; the number wasn't the former number at my house.  I did not purchase the house from a man by the name that she gave. "Mrs. Spillman" was pleasant and assured me that she would remove my number from their system.  Do a Google search, and you'll learn quite a bit about Mr. Cignarale and the experience that others have had with his staff.
