- jj replies to JB| 2 repliesto be honest with you ive done collections for over 2 years and yea we can be a little tough on the consumer but this is just and effort to relieve the national debt. Quit complaining and pay your bills. We shouldnt have to call you and remind you to pay your bills. Learn some responsiblity and get a job and pay your obligations.

- tdeI just recieved a call today from Patrick Corbett. The lady that called was a Ms. Long and she called from 716-206-0985. She said that I need to call Patrick Corbett by the end of the day at 18007950831 or she would file charges with my county. She also said that she would file for an asset and liability search of my possesions. When she called, she knew the last four of my social security number and the county where I live.

- Douche Buster replies to jjOkay Mr. I've never been late on any payments. You are not aware of any persons' situation. Regardless These idiots are using senseless scare-tactics to force people to hand over their money. And if it wasn't for people like us who get behind on bills, you "Debt Collectors" would not have a job. This is a scam, and its sad that this is happening during such times when our economy is failing. And frankly "National Debt" = "George W.Bush". jj your the idiot of the day :)
- EYH replies to AdamYou know, chances are you borrowed money from a payday loan company and never paid it back. Maybe on purpose, maybe by mistake. If not, check your credit report and dispute it that way. I had a payday loan that I had forgotten about. Recevied a call from them, they told me the amount, I arranged four payments. I always get through when I call. I'll be paid off next month. Don't really know what the problem is for you guys. Pay your bills! LOL We all make mistakes.

- BeckyI got a call today from somebody named James Collins, from the "Law Office of Attorney Patrick Corbett." They said it was a "very important call" to me re: my brother-in-law. They gave me a case number, the phone number of 866-893-2969. When I returned their call they said they had a case against my brother-in-law, and then they said they had information that would help him. I wasn't comfortable giving out any personal information and I told the guy so. Then I went to the computer to google this "law firm". Sounds like a scam or something to me!

- Austin, TX replies to Odessa, Texas| 1 replyThey are under a new name now called Revenue Reporting Services. They said that I owed a payday loan from 2007 and unless I pay the pending civil suit will be filed with criminal charges. They also answered the phone saying this is a federal line, probably highly illegel to say that. They called wanting to verify my my social and said that I now owe $1800.00 and that it will escalate unless I work out a payment arrangement with them. I also got a voicemail saying that unless I get back with them in two days that they are pursuing me with a lawsuit and looking into my assets. Hard to believe that the country we live in allows exstortion to happen like this. Can't something be done against these boneheads.
- Razer replies to Austin, TXI too have been getting calls from Revenue Reporting services. I basically told them to stop calling me at work and take me to court. When I said go ahead and take me to court, they kept asking why? I don't understand what the hell is going on, but it isn't very ethical. It is driving me up the wall.
