Called me, and as usual did not leave a message. They still do not understand I am not the person they are looking for. I will just have to send letters to the proper government agencies complaining about this company. This has been going on for over two years.

This company just called me trying to collect on a 13 year old bill, that I paid. Seems odd to wait that long to collect on a debt if I did owe it. I just hung up on them. Sounded suspicious to me.

they have been calling my cell phone for months.  How they got the number I have no idea.  I will be reporting them!

they call and leave no message on my voice mail.  They are calling my cell phone

866-940-7640!  Calls at everytime of day and night, is there someone to report these idiots to?  They never leave a message and call at least 5 times a day.  Having served our country I would love to talk to them in person and tell them to Stop calling me!

The number they are calling is unlisted.

This just started: daily we get one or to calls from 1-866-437-9625 or 1-866-940-7640 with identical behavior:

About 1/2 the time, the phone rings once or twice and then they hang up before we even have a chance to answer. About 1/4 the time, we pick up and they then disconnect without saying anything, or no one there. The other 1/4 of the time, the prerecorded message plays telling us to call and mention a reference number with no further explanation of what it is in regards to. When we call, we are disconnected.

So their own obnoxious telemarketing is even broken! I can't even tell them to stop! There is no person anywhere!! Their own calling and phone number doesn't even work yet they won't stop calling! We have no bad debt, just got our credit report and there is nothing on it.

This is the worst phone harassment I have ever experienced.

Portfolio is a chronic violator of TCPA as well as FDCPA laws.

They call every day and hang up.  I don't have any overdue bills so I don't appreciate the calls. Can't this be stopped?

These bunch of knuckleheads keep calling even though I have explained they have the wrong person. Correct number, just the wrong person and they still can't figure it out. I guess they took the short bus to school when they were little because they were "special".

They find very old charged off debts and try to collect on them. If these people are calling you, you probably do not owe anything at all. It's a scam.

This  is a slimy collection agency using questionable if not illegal tactics. They are trying to collect an old credit card debt my son ran up in college 9 years ago!! We agreed to pay a settlement with the credit card company to close it out, a charge off they called it. Portfolio tried to tell me that meant we still owed it. A lawyer friend told us no way! In new jersey the statut of limitations is 6 years, and if we had paid them even a dollar, the bill would become active again. DO NOT LISTEN TO THESE PEOPLE. Tell them you will file a complaint if they don't stop calling!

These people called my cell phone that looking for my buddy. How is that possible?

Call every day 9:30-10 a.m. and 6-7p.m. They never leave a message. I do not owe them and they will not listen. No legal company can ask for the information they want. I will have to contact a lawyer (a friend) and get this rectified they are affecting my business.  They are based out of Virginia. It needs to stop!

these people keep calling my home and asking for someone who does not live there.  Then they just hang up. what steps can I take to make these people stop calling me?

They call each and every day, but I never ever answer any calls from people other than the ones on my contact list.  Calls from people on my contact list will appear on my phone screen with the name of the person who is calling.
