- Janice T.This number is from Chase; HOWEVER I received a spoofed call from this number. When my phone rung, this was the number that was displayed but when they accidently left a message (I could hear background noise, people having a conversation, but the caller did not say anything and hung up after a few seconds) the number was (626) 374-4003.

- AnnoyedThis number called me multiple times in a row until I finally picked up. Man on the line told me that my debit card and ran up fraudulent charges. He told me I would need to create a new user name and password and wanted me to respond through a text. Definitely a scam! Do not answer!

- Rosemary Lewis| 1 replyWhen I tried to sign into my bank account at Chase Bank, I got a message saying I could not sign into my account without a security code. I then got a text leaving me a random number to use to log in at my bank. The number worked! I checked the phone number that called me and was warned this was a phasing number and to report what happened immediately
Will you be able to protect my account?? My husband and I are in our late 70's and it"s all we have...- Caller: It was supposed to be Chase Bank no name showed on the call

Who are you talking to? Why don't you call the bank directly at their known, published phone number? My guess is that you got to a fake site and they have just changed your password.Quote:Will you be able to protect my account?? - JasonI don't use Chase. I don't know why I got three calls and two text messages with verification codes.

- RyanI woke up to two emails and given this number to call. When I called the number, they tried to sell me a gadget that the elderly wear if they fall. Guaranteed this is a complete scam. Don’t give them any information.
The emails claimed that my Zelle contact information had been removed because I had not reverified.
Scam. The fact that they had my email address was disturbing but now I’ve called them with my telephone number that is associated with the account so now they have that information too. 😡- Caller: No idea

- User 2024Evidently, this scam number is still active in 2024. (I saw complaints here going back to 2007!)
I get a bunch of text messages from 242733 saying they are Chase and give me an 8 digit PIN.
Looks like someone is trying to login to my Chase account.
So I call Chase to let them know it isn't me. They say no one has logged in my account today. Good.
I'm also getting a bunch of annoying calls from (877) 242-7372 which I don't know. They finally left a voice message claiming they are Chase and want me to call (866) 355-3744. So both these numbers are scam numbers.- Caller: scammer

- AAchase online verification code recorded message if you select the "call me" option when you login on the desktop website with two factor authentication enabled. the call will ask you to press the pound key and it will give you a code. this is a legit number but it looks like it has been spoofed from scammers judging from the comments from others. again, it's a legit number if you are expecting a verification code call from chase when logging in online. Otherwise, if you weren't expecting a call, then obviously don't give any info, and change your chase online password, because someone was trying to access your account.
