- SDThey called my cell today. My cell receives constant spam callers. Male caller called me by my last name. Said he was from "Chase" I believe. I have no business with Chase bank. Told him I was not interested in anything and asked to be removed from their list. He said "OK". I hung up.

- babsI received a call 1 feb 17, caller new our name, ask if I could hear her. When I did not answer her she hung up. Read about a scam in our local paper about caller asking if you could hear them and if you answer yes, they would some how use you voice to claim authorization to gain your personal information. I am not sure how it works but law enforcement says that it's a rouse.

- SusieQ replies to 'TageThere are two ways to look at this. It may not be fraud if you are trying to get on your computer. You initiated the call. If you did not initiate the call, then it's possibly spoofing, phishing for info. Case in point--- I had a call from Chase on my phone. Not home. Not solicited. No message. After reading this blog, I called the number on my credit card and they had no record of a call to me for any reason. That was 2 days ago. Then today I tried to log on to pay my bill. Didn't recognize computer. They sent me a code, from this number. So I'm still wondering why the unsolicited call several days ago. Legitimate number? Yes. But if you didn't ask for help and they called you, it's suspect.

If that is true, give us a link to an official Chase page that shows this toll-free number.
Then
Realize the bad guys can spoof what appears on your Caller ID.

- BostonHollyYes, it is Chase Bank. I was having trouble logging into my account and had to keep entering my password bc their idiot system chose some numerical login name for me which assigned an automatic pw and I could not remember it. I used my old - but still verifiable- login credentials and had to keep re-verifying that I was myself by allowing their 3rd check calls to come in to my home with the 6 number code to enter so that i could proceed to my accounts. But everyt time I used my own ID's it happened again, the system t looped so many times w/out the desired results tthat I finally I gave up trying to get into my account. They probably locked me out. Haven't had time to call them. Chase is really good about checking up on potential Fraud problems - my card keeps getting used and it's not I who's using it.

CALL THE NUMBER ON THE BACK OF YOUR CARD - GordonReceived a call from this number. Yes, I am a customer, but no, have done nothing that would initiate the call. There was no message, so I believe that the legitimate Chase number was spoofed in this case.

- TheRealSeriously® replies to TimDoesn't mean scammers don't spoof it. And save your praise for their site-not here as they won't see it

Scroll down the page to see their contact numbers of which this one is listed. I'm not sure why it was so hard for anyone to actually look this up and/or post a link. It appears that this number is safe. However, with that being said, any number can be spoofed so I would be careful if you do not bank or do business with Chase.- Caller: Chase
- bbRang 4 times then hung up. Read comments so thought I'd better call back. I have no account with Chase. Hung on for ages then a recording asked me to leave my number for a call back. I disconnected. Peculiar. Won't block this time. Perhaps someone is trying to open an account in my name?

- LKThe Caller ID said it was 'Chase' but the woman identified as 'Certified Company'. They knew my name and address and wanted to sell some windows. I told them to remove me from their list and not to call again. Perhaps they got my information from Chase?

- scammer alterSCAM and spoofed caller ID
caller ID reads Chase, and after they called a few times and i read all the comments here, so i thought id pick up and see if someone was trying to open an account in my name... well it was NOT chase it was "window services" they asked if i could here her, i said no, she then stated she would talk louder then did not, she told me she was on my block and had someone to talk to me about new windows, ... I blocked at that point. Not Chase and no a window company, as no one was getting windows in my area, we have a 2 mile radius facebook neighbor group, and some one would had bragged about that.- Caller: window services
