If you have an account from Chase bank and have your settings setup for alerts by phone, that's why this number is calling you. It's a recorded message of a change of your account (credit limits, etc.) Sometimes I hear nothing and then it calls back...

I looked this number up because I have been getting calls from 877 numbers lately and I ran across this one in my phone's history.  Then I remembered what it was.  When I registered for a login name at Chase.com (I have a car loan through Chase Auto Finance,) they call the number they have on record for you to give you a confirmation number.

These people need to get real jobs they call all the time. I hate this company!

Called on Christmas Day. Why?

For me this was a valid return call from Chase. When paying their credit card bill online their system didn't recognize my computer and they sent me a code via my registered phone.

This is from Chase bank. It is a good number (not a sale call). We had a new computer, their computer don't recognize our new computer, they sent me a code via my registered phone.

I got a call from Chase bank automated services for account verification code.

I just got a call at 4:50am with a verification code I didn't request. 5th time today.

I too have received calls from 1-877-242-7372 which were part of Chase's automated account verification, in which I was accessing my credit card account but using a different computer than the one used to open the account.
The calls were expected, indeed immediate upon my selecting the option I wanted to use for the verification procedure.

I received three calls on this at 7:15 AM on a Saturdat(woke the kids up!) It was Chase with some code... HMMM.... saying my wife set up on-line access?  Scammer trying identity fraud? Will verify with the wife soon she is out of town with a bunch of girl-friends.  It all sounds fishy.

This is a phone phishing fraud.  It's someone pretending to be Chase, sending out bogus online account "access codes" that the customer has not requested.  The end of the message gives an 866 number to call "if you have not requested this access code."  Then, when you call the 866 number, they immediately ask for all of your account information.  

I have gotten three of these calls in the past couple of weeks, and when I called the legitimate Chase customer service number and spoke to their security department, they had no record of any outgoing contact with me.  

Again, it's a phone fraud trying to get your account info.

Called us and when I picked up the voice was already in the middle of some number I was to call. I'm at work and we don't need this type of interuption.

Yikes! If you people are getting calls with verification codes that you didn't ask for, someone is trying to get account information!

Received a call on my cell phone with a message giving an 8 digit verification code. For what I do not know because I have NO affiliation with Chase/WaMu.

These people called at 6:30 AM, left a recorded message. TOO EARLY IN THE MORNING FOR THIS KIND OF BUSINESS.

received my validation code for loging on to my account b/c it didnt recognize my computer.  for those of you that r receiving them chances are when some1 registered they gave the wrong phone # when they signed up.  ligit #
